Just noticed, someone has plugged an mp3 into me lappy and gone out (has to be DS4)
I guess he is charging it but maybe wrong. If it is in for a charge how long should I leave it or shall I be naughty and unplug it now:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
vauxhall viva
Afternoon all!
Vauxhall viva! That reminds me of when I first started 'courting' my OH. He took me out in his red viva and always said he would open the door for me to get out. I thought he was a gentleman, only to find out later that the inside mechanism for the handle didnt work, and I would not have been able to get out anyway!!
Plus the housing just behind the gear stick was removed and he had to clamp different wires together to get the headlights to come on as well! LOL0 -
I always look out for your updates, sorry that this update from you was not exactly what you wanted to hear from the hospital. The Macmillan nurses are great and will give you both plenty of support, and all of us on here will be here for you too
Hugs to you and AlanEvening all - sorry I didn't report in earlier but been texting and talking on the phone since we got back
The Registrar examined Mr 3Dogs, ran through his health history and recent events, together with present position, then talked about chemo to try to slow the cancer down. It would be tablets, given on a 3 week cycle, 2 weeks tablets with one week rest, then start again. However he felt that, with Alan feeling so weak, he was borderline for treatment as he needed to be strong to take the side effects. He went to talk it over with the Oncologist who came in to talk to us too. The Oncologist said that Alan was too weak to take the treatment and also, with the treatment lowering the ammune system and Alan having an open wound to the abcess, the danger was too great that he might get an infection which would lead to him being admitted to hospital. So he said that treatment was not an option as things were, and rather than getting stronger, Alan may start to get weaker straight away
He asked if we fully understood the cancer Alan had, i.e. bowel cancer spread to liver and as such incurable,, which we did. He also asked what prognosis we'd been given, and when we said consultant had given a sort of generalisation of 6 months to 2 years, he said that the cancer was very advanced and it would be a matter of months rather than years, which was a bit of a shock. Anyway, they are referring him to Macmillan Community Nursing Team and to another Doctor but we can't remember what that was for so will have to wait and see what that was about
So it was not the best of newsbut, as a friend of ours always says, it is what it is. We still intend to make the most of the time Alan has left with a holiday in Devon with our 3 dear MSE friends in July to look forward to, and a trip up North to visit family before then, so we will remain strong and positive

Should have not gone to Ts before today as was hoping to find some of the 88p wine glasses 4 pack, think they were the ones £1.75 week or so ago and both stores had loads. But no homeware RTC items to be seen in the aisle all been moved around and new ranges and picnic ware in place now.
Did see Time for Tea tea cosy for £1.38 (and had 342 stickers on...) in the clearance section, only thing from that range left. Also some 90p cupcake coasters and cherry sandwich tray about same price. And remember the coloured stripy glasses that everyone was getting DTD on last year, they are 41p now.0 -
Hi all,
Not caught up properly yet but great to see the LTS vouchers are arriving - well done!! I well and truly missed the boat on that one....oh well!
I've collected my Hotel Chocolat eggs and the nice SA agreed that my 18 month old LO's could count as 1 person to redeem a little egg for them - she said she they were very advanced for their age to have their own email address :rotfl::rotfl: BIG thank you to cosmic dust :A :T
brand8 I'm very sorry to hear your newsit is good that you have a good support network around you.
I felt really bad in Mr T's today as I was busy putting 4 of the 80 sheet dettol wipes in my basket (they are still scanning at £1 instead of £3 in my local) and a lovely guy stopped me and said 'excuse me - you do know they're not on offer don't you' there was a yellow SEL for an offer on the T's ones in front of them. He told me he had made a mistake last week but hadn't wan't to put the wipes back so just paid for them. I was just about to tell him to fill his boots as they were £1 when I noticed the compliance manager behind him - grrr!! So i just thanked him and told him we got through lots. I went off and tried to find him again but couldn't see him - I even waited outside the store for a bit but there are 2 exits so I must have missed himI know its not biggie but I just thought he was really lovely trying to help me and I wanted him to get a bargain too - hopefully I might see him again so I can impart my knowledge!!
Right - going to grab a sandwich and a catch up while LO's are having their snooze. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend
PS I bought a pack of mini danishes as a treat for my OH bday tomorrow (oh yes I know how to treat a guy ha ha!!) anyhoo I'm sure a couple of weeks ago they were 89p and today the same ones were £1.30  talk about a price increase!Erm I'm not sure if I've got the hang of this money saving.....I seem to be spending more money buying 'bargains' that I don't really need - oops!!0 -

brand8
:(:( stay strong x
freddiesmum09 it is very easy for people to say why stay if you are unhappy but it is not that easy is it, we all have things we say we would not put up with in a relationship but the reality is lots of the time people do.Sometimes though these things/bad times are worked through and the relationship is stronger for the work put in.
You will know in your heart what is the right thing for you and you will also know, if there is something to be done when it is the right time for you to do something about it. Take care and enjoy your day with your LO.
