  • Afternoon all! Just been sorting through my stash! Why is it that Easter Eggs, unlike most other cadburys chocolate, have such a short expiry date? Do you think they make them almost a year in advance . The 34p CDM I bought before Xmas has an expiry of October!

A friend of mine makes broccoli cheese instead of cauliflower cheese. OH makes a lovely dish with brocolli, pine nuts and brown rice. Shall I find the recipe out?

Mm. Yes please! Got LOADS of broccoli to use up.

So glad I've managed to read all:D
Yesterday my shopping was pretty modest - bunch of daffodils and one box of Tesco Finest Salted. Not bad for 26 p  There were plenty of the Lindor eggs even with the correct BC, but they scanned at £1.50, so I did not bothered at all.
I'm expecting big online order today, so probably will be good to start one of the grocery challenges:eek: soon..

    FloFlo,
    My thoughts are with you.

Anyone got a good veggie main course with main ingredient being broccoli?
    ...
I like mine as a salad- steamed broccoli, sesame seeds, bit of olive oil, lemon juice and grated cheese on top. Or mixed with pasta, sour cream/Stilton and chopped walnuts. Or probably a simple cream soup will do:D

    Have a nice day everyone:)!

    Good Afternoon all!
No chance of me catching up, so just hope I havent missed much lol!! Thanks to the OP who told us about the anti-histamines through Clear Chemist - mine came through today and should last me all summer! Also got my Cravendale Kermit backpack....well, I would describe it more as a purse than a backpack! Dont get me wrong, it is cute, and Im a HUGE Muppet fan, but I dont think its worth the money I probably paid on getting a more expensive milk.

We had the funeral for my best friends husband yesterday, was very sad but went well. I did the food with her in the morning and think we did it just right - only a little left over so everyone had enough. Her 11yr old daughter read out a poem in the church she wrote for her dad which was so brave of her.

Hope you all have a lovely afternoon! xxx

So sorry to hear of all the difficult times people are having ... life is very tough at times. But better to have a life of peaks and troughs than a flat line with nothing at all.

Great to hear kermit has arrived as well ... this means mine might be arriving soon :T ... Shame to hear they're a tad small but TBH I don't think I'll be that disappointed and I don't really think they're that expensive.

You needed 20 codes per backpack but there were 7 free codes online making only 13 needed.

At T 3 bottles of Cravendale was 3 for 2 @ £1.88 = £3.76 ... but I would have been buying the milk at £3 for 3 bottles so only an extra 76p per 3 bottles.

I've now ordered 3 backpacks (2 for my two and 1 for cousins LO) So for 3 backpacks I needed 39 codes ... and at 76p per 3 bottles ... it comes to £9.88 for 3 backpacks ... approx. £3.30 each (inc P&P).

But thanks to some lovely people on here  (you know who you are) I've not needed to buy 39 bottles for 39 codes.

All in all I'm excited waiting for postie.:j

JJ, Geggs used to sell cheese and broccoli pasties. They were yummy. I'm sure you could adapt something.
