Earlier I mixed a Tesco white bread mix in the breadmaker, then left to rise ( it didn't) then put in the oven.
It came out with the base under cooked so have put it back in upside down
That didn't work as planned so put half a pack in the breadmaker to see if that can do better.
It was ood feb 12 but I thought it would be ok, apparently not.
Edit : 1 inedible so will be going in the compost bin0 -
Does anyone else have any LTS vouchers still showing as processing on Mission Control? I still have that elusive year's supply.0

Afternoon Elites, another lovely sunny day here in jacksland :j
Happy Birthday to all those with birthdays today and a huge ((hug)) to baby Freya, Purdita you must be so proud. I hope all is sorted quickly for your daughter so they both can come home.
Planted pepper and tomato seeds this morning then popped to Ipswich.
Collected the 'wedding' guest books (2) from Bhs that were £1.43p each, they look real nice with a cream rose on the front. Oh, I haven't said have I, DS3 (the drummer) is getting married on 20th October so something to look forward to.
I thought I had a pdf £5 for the Dettol hadwash thing but I must have deleted it
Off to catch up from last night so will see you all later. No Ts for me today (yet) :rotfl:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -
Afternoon all
Just a quickie from me to say that my daughter had a baby girl in the early hours of this morning.
Baby is doing fine but mum not so good at the moment.
It was a home birth and was really quick and easy but the placenta wouldn't come away and she lost a lot of blood.
I had a call at 4am to ask if I could get there ASAP but I live 10 miles from them so it was a mad dash! I got there just as my daughter was being driven away in the ambulance with a paramedic car in attendance too
So I didn't get chance to see her or my new grandaughter, but my SIL said she has masses of dark hair. She weighed in at 8lbs exactly and they are calling her Freya
I've been all morning cleaning carpets, sofa's, rugs, and I've still not removed all traces of blood.
At hospital Michelle was given an anaesthetic and the afterbirth was removed but her blood pressure is really low and they are monitoring here to see if she needs a transfusion.
Other than that...everything is fine. :T
Congratulations Purdida on baby Freya . :j
Hope your daughter is ok i am sure she will be.0 -
didn't you read my tip on SSMC
Yoghurt pots with holes in the bottom, put a saucer or something underneath, compost, seed, cover with compost, water, cover tightly top with clingfilm, let it steam up,(no need to water) if stops steaming up water from the bottom, leave on windowsill covered till too big for pot or frost is over. Works well with tomatoes
west_is_best wrote: »Seeds need light to germinate... I use one of those cheap plastic greenhouses that Tesco used to sell.. it has 3 little shelves in.
Put them in tray's or even better empty egg boxes, the cardboard one's. Dont leave them outside, without cover as they need heat to germinate. If you have a window sill indoors, or a conservatory, its as good as anything...I'm no gardener but ... I've been re-using my Aero pots and free potting compost (B&Q) ... and cutting a clear plastic bottle in half (2ltr Sparkling Water) to make individual domes or mini greenhouses.
During the sunny days I pop them outside and for the cooler evenings/nights I bring them in.
thanks for all the advice
actually i have stacks of trays from the wilko 75% sale yesterday and i will pop out tonight for a couple of greenhouses, been out in the sun all afternoon, gave T's a miss, garden was in serious need of a bit of TLC, weeding done, all trays planted and labelled and watered (lettuce, tomoatoes, cucumber, courgettes, sweetcorn, peppers, chilis, petunias, lobelias, sweet pea and busy lizzie's),
whether anything actually grows is another matter:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -
