Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
i was so sad to read the posts on here last night about the loss of loved ones and the doubts and sadness that people feel and carry with them.

when my dad died it was such a shock and the only way i have been able to deal with it is to think that when we are born we're on this earth for a certain time and that for everyone there is a certain date in which they will pass away.

so in believing this i feel that no matter if anyone knew how ill my dad was he would still have died at the exact time that he did. maybe in a different way but he would no longer be with us.

i can cope with his death thinking this better than wondering about what if?

i take comfort from this and hope that maybe someone else can take comfort from it too.:)
mmm..... these strawberries make my breath happy mum ds

    Afternoon all
Just a quickie from me to say that my daughter had a baby girl in the early hours of this morning.
Baby is doing fine but mum not so good at the moment.
It was a home birth and was really quick and easy but the placenta wouldn't come away and she lost a lot of blood.
I had a call at 4am to ask if I could get there ASAP but I live 10 miles from them so it was a mad dash! I got there just as my daughter was being driven away in the ambulance with a paramedic car in attendance too
So I didn't get chance to see her or my new grandaughter, but my SIL said she has masses of dark hair. She weighed in at 8lbs exactly and they are calling her Freya

I've been all morning cleaning carpets, sofa's, rugs, and I've still not removed all traces of blood.
At hospital Michelle was given an anaesthetic and the afterbirth was removed but her blood pressure is really low and they are monitoring here to see if she needs a transfusion.
Other than that...everything is fine. :T

    Congratulations :j

I am sure the WHS 5% off stamps finished at the weekend but Superdrug also have 5% off all stamps

Lucozade scanned at a £1 in the shop I went to that had a scanner and all Magnum SELs were changed

Happy Birthday to the birthday peeps - hope you have a great day

Hi Nixilix, I was there a couple of hours ago :-) Yey, we are locals...

I forgot to look at phones for DTD. I did look at Denby, the caapucino and teal blue sets were both still half price and I saw the black pepper ones stacked at the end of an aisle (with the teal blue) saying £42.50. didn't know whether the chance it but thought I'd stay under the radar on this one.

i sent a large parcel (not tesco stuff) to 3dogs and put 2nd class stamps on it. i made sure 3 dogs checked that the stamps were franked as well. if they are not you can you them again.

And [STRIKE]naughty[/STRIKE] efficient Royal Mail franked every single one  :rotfl:
I sent something to tweets with a 'recycled' stamp and when it arrived to her it was still unfranked.

I didn't have any glue to stick it down with so I used some 'no more nails'.:rotfl:

Only you HC, only you :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Are you reading this skidMark? would you like Royal Mails email address?:p:rotfl::rotfl:
