I emailed the MSE Gestapo for a 3rd time on Saturday. Whilst I did get an automated response from them this time to say that they had received my email I'm still waiting for an actual reply.:(0

Evening everyone!
Super coupon trip to Mr T today, chose the only man working on the tills among the trouts and did well! First thing he said was "I never understand how people get the time to spend on the Internet printing this stuff off" lol...erm well with coupons and a nice shiny giftcard from Mr T I paid precisely nothing for my shopping!
That's why we do it!
Poss DTD opp for tomorrow...spotted it today because usually offers end Sunday or Tuesday but Magnum 3 packs classic, white and almond are £1 until midnight tonight and change to £2.49 tomorrow, they already are on .com. An odd day for a price change but one to look out for!

Hi Tinyshoes, I'm no doc so won't be as much help as celebrate, but I've had fentanyl patches before. (I'm actually wondering if there's a drug out there that I haven't had the honour of trying!! I'm only 29, frightening really!!)
I found patches gave absolutely no side effects and were quite good for pain relief. Also (if memory serves correctly) they last for 3 days each so it's one less thing to remember if she's taking a lot of medication. I still altered doses of mine too by cutting them in half etc if I felt I needed less. Really hope they help your mum. Fingers crossed for her. x
Thanks hun, that's good to know. Consultant mentioned they lasted 3 days so think that would be a good option something I can take charge of rather than her forgetting to take a dose at the right time.0 -

Evening! Have yet to catch up so hope you have all been enjoying the sunny weather today.
Last night I found some Beef Nuggets (beef jerky ones) that were on clipstrips ages ago. I found my first lot about 10 days ago and they scanned at 1p, but now they are at £1.69!!!
Also re the Duracell glitch - do you have to buy either all AA's or all AAA's? It didn't work when I tried 2 of each packet.
and finally found a little carton of Cars chocolate buttons amongst the easter stuff all by itself today ( from Xmas ) and it went through at 1p!.
Glitch was solved sharp-ish! (No knife pun intended!)I've spent all day on the internet and phone, doing 'MSE' things
done a cheapo order from Milk&more used codes to get £5 saving + free Lindor choccies. (not that I can eat them!)
xI don't mind spiders look at this cute one
*REMOVED*
How could you??!! My spaniel happily eats our spiders!!:rotfl:
On another note I was truly moved by snap's post re 5 yr od that won't eatI don't have any advice as such because I've developed an unhealthy attitude towards food myself since being very ill a couple of years ago. I desperately need to put weight on, and have suffered a lot of muscle loss with being so poorly, but rheumatoid arthritis amongst other things prevents me from doing normal exercise. I can't have a normal diet because I can't digest fat, (Pancreas problems too, (not alcohol related!! prescription medication!!)) Really struggle myself so I can't imagine how a 5 yr old can cope with such a thing.
I would say that perhaps the tough route of pointing out the horrors of not eating is certainly not the way I would approach it. I feel bad enough when DH asks 'what's for dinner' and I feel sick at the thought of it. I never understood eating disorders before I apparently got one, I honestly thought it was attention seeking. How wrong can 1 person be.
On that subject, does anyone know about protein body building shake things? I can't work out if they would be good for building up my weight or not?
F.K. Awesome as always!!! I dusted my machine off and tried te moon venus thing tonight but zoom is so carp it wasn't worth it. No. 4 is my personal favourite.
Sorry for long post everyone. Feel free to skip over me! I really don't mind!Gwrys yn Kernow! :j0 -

From memory (dodgy as it is now), I am talking about 1978/79. Am I the only sad one here or are there loads of others who remember Batfink?
It gets worse..
I remember Benny on Crossroads and Miss Diane too, even Sandy in his wheelchair!!
I am I the only sad git posting tonight or are there any others who know what I'm banging on about and can keep me company?
I remember Batfink, me and my brother used to watch it every night after dinner.
BTW I was born in 1979 and my brother 1982 so we must have watched re-runs of it but was good, we loved itSPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Evening again!
I won't comment on the NHS debate except to say that I can see all sides of this and wish the government would do more to help the staff in the NHS who care about their jobs and want to do the best for their patients xxxNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Regarding NHS - When my mother died 15 years ago, she was very ill in hospital with breathing problems. She had been in and out of hospital constantly for about five years. A doctor came in the room and asked her various questions such as who was the current prime minister, what was the date etc. She answered them all correctly. They gave her a morphine injection and another one shortly after. Then she died. The injections killed her. I told her GP the next day and he said that the morphine injections had speeded up her her death but she would have probably lived only a few more days and would have struggled to breathe. To be honest, I've always thought that the NHS killed her. I have to agree with Magicowen.0
