A bnwt Tu gym top and a Tu black t shirt 50p each, a Nike top £1, a Jigsaw unstructured navy jacket/ cardie £2 and a White Stuff fine cotton tunic £2.50.
I'm using some B and H stuff they gave when I worked in a CS because it didn't sell. It's incredibly insipid both in smell and substance so very cheaply made. Looking forward to getting it finished and going back to my Soap and Glory!0 -
Had to hunt for this thread - nobody bagged any bargains lately?
I bought a Isle of Wight glass perfume bottle - I collect them.
'Summer Fruits' range in green

Perfect condition, similar selling on ebay (BIN = buy it now) for around £60.
I was hyperventilating (well, almost) when I saw it on the shelf in our village Age UK for £1.50. It's a shop I rarely go in so it really had my name on it.
A Roxy laptop bag in rainbow shades.
£2.99 from BHF.
Looks unused.
It does fit my laptop but I bought it more as a messenger bag that I can use when I go out for the day and have my book, umbrella, sunglasses and lots of other paraphernalia that I seem to find necessary for my survival.
I put all my shopping in it which included 2 ceramic knives, a penguin brolly, 2 Monet mouse mats, a 50% wool/silk scarf, a pair of M&S patterned leggings & a present for our friend's birthday.0 -

Not me nopeDid a full tour of the local chazzas on Thursday and found zilch to buy. Saw a couple of nice dresses but the sizes were all wrong. Did spot 7 x B & H gifty boxes tho.....4 in the Martin House shop, 2 x in BHF and 1 x in the community shop. All proudly displayed :rotfl:
Love those perfume bottles Pollycat...I have an iridescent blue one myself and a turquoise mushroom..0 -

Nipped into one of the less expensive ones as I had to collect a parcel nearby this morning, found 3 books for a £1, including Maria Von Trapp's autobiography (she's meant to be a far cry from Julie Andrews portrayal!) and a salad dressing shaker similar to the one below for 20p.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
"No man is worth, crawling on the earth"- adapted from Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio
Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

QI Facts Book, 25p (Sense, I think). New enough will do for Xmas gift. Trying to get all my Xmas gifts done for less than a quid per person from the chazzers.
PS you can iron the spine of paperback books to get minor reading creases out.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Polly - I've visited the IoW glassworks on a number of occasions. Glass blowing fascinates me. They do some stunning work but most of it out of my price range but I do have a little penguinSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

I love this style of dress with thick tights and ankle boots.Polly - I've visited the IoW glassworks on a number of occasions. Glass blowing fascinates me. They do some stunning work but most of it out of my price range but I do have a little penguin).
I bought a bigger IoW perfume bottle last year (I think) from another charity shop.
I bought my Mum a Caithness polar bear from a flea market years ago.
I've not seen it lately so it might have been outed when she moved. I hope not.0 -
