Oh GQ -- so with you there! I've a reputation for always being able to knock a table and spill everyone's drinks too! And why when at a function with beautifully laid tables and white cloths to I always manage to get the place with the table leg!!!
I thanked God when they brought out hold ups as in my youth it was difficult to get long leg stockings and having to stretch suspenders so far made me feel like I had loaded legs lol On the plus side I can always be relied upon by ladies who are vertically challenged to retrieve items from the top shelves in supermarkets for them.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
I can touch a standard 8 ft 6 ceiling with my fingertips when I'm at full-stretch and have regularly been called on - or will volunteer if I see a shorter lady or gentleman struggling - to get stuff off the high shelves.
Just back home from spending a couple of hours with a pal, and have got some stuff from her to re-purpose and am wrapping a few crimble presents as I am going over to the homestead tomoz and am taking the opportunity to have some of the gifts in the right place ahead of chrissy and of some birthdays in the next couple of weeks.
Not having one's own vehicle makes one wonderfully organised, dunnit?
Oh, and I kondo'd some fine english pounds to the (f)utility company this evening. I love it how they email me and invite me to 'view my bills'. Nothing so vulgar as payment is mentioned up front, you'll note.Every time I see that, I'm so tempted to 'view' and sent them an email telling them how pretty my bills are and how glad I am they prepared them for me, and was there anything else they wanted or should we play nicely together again in three months.............?
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

There is one particular chazza that I go in that gets a lot of LTS stuff....I always imagine it's from the same person as it's always the one size. I used to think that I was tall at 5'9" but now M & S tall stuff drowns me
Had a good chazzer session today; bought a multi-photo frame for 75p, two packs of silicone chocolate moulds for £1.49, a silicone tray of cake pop moulds for the same, 2 giant mugs for 20p each...and six booksValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
"No man is worth, crawling on the earth"- adapted from Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio
Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

Well after 16 whole days I have broken my no buy. I am weak and pathetic and it is all DH's fault.:rotfl:
Yesterday I got
Next Everyday Skinny Jeans in extra long £3.99
Next Tall Slim Jeans £3.99
Next grey and black nordic style snowflake jumper £3.99
Balance Me Rose Otto set with 3 items £2.99 brand new and all sealed
Gap boys khaki gilet £2.99
Autograph boys cardigan £1.49
Mens Next slim jeans £4.49
Not especially cheap but all like new and will be worn lots.
I saw so many Bayliss & Harding sets yesterday I lost count and they were all more expensive than the Balance me set I got which is an expensive brand.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Had a trawl of the shops in town today, it was really busy in all of them so difficult to have a proper look but happy with what i got!
£3.50 Mela Loves London Dress, black with floral print. I already have a few dresses from this brand and know i like the fit
£3.75 H&M Wool Blend pink cardigan, super soft and similar ones are £25 on the website
£1 Hardback copy of the Essex Serpent, was in perfect condition but the rain has seeped through my bag and ruined the edge of the paper coverNever mind, have taken the cover off and looks like this will be one i keep!
£1 The Crow Girl - Spine is marked at 100 pages where someone clearly gave up reading it!
£1 The Virgin Suicides
£1.99 The Light between oceans - more than i'd usually pay for a battered book but i liked the look of the film so thought the book might be better!
Happy with those for a saturday morning haul!0 -
