    It's going to be 14ft x 16ft so it'd be a lovely walk in wardrobe. Or library. I just can't wait :):)

I caught a bit of an episode of The Karcrashians last night, (it was a mistake honest!) and one of the numpty sisters had a fabulous walk-in shoe wardrobe with hundreds of shoes all in colour order in glass fronted cabinets - put my serried ranks of odd shoe boxes to shame :o I now have 'walk-in shoe wardrobe envy' too!

I always like to have one brown, one black and one grey pair of all my boots... I have issues. I usually jump for joy if New Look have a nice style wide foot one in all three colours....

Latest dental appointment didn't cost as much as expected so I treated myself in our local CRUK shop to two summer tops. One is a Next, V-neck with a small collar, elbow length sleeves, in black with an all-over tiny ditsy print in pink and white. Crinkle fabric which I love as it washes/dries so easily, no ironing and very forgiving over the curvy bits you wish you didn't have. :D Fits perfectly. £4.

The other is a Papaya Collection, scoop neck, short sleeves, in pale mint green with a cream front panel narrowly edged in black. Fits but perhaps a little bit more fitted around the hips than I would like; soon remedied by opening up the side seams by 4"-6". £3.

Another 50p spent on a bn address book with a red fabric cover decorated with beads and sequins. My current one is falling apart so this will fit the bill nicely. :)

The best bargain though has to be a bn pair of sandals for £3. Hotter brand, beige nubuck leather, adjustable touch close fastenings, retail at £69. :j

Last chazza visit of the week and in the Mind Shop I splurged on a pair of Hobbs, sand coloured, slim legged trousers, as new, priced at £5.75....bit pricy but such nice quality and cut. Also got an M & S fine jersey, long sleeved, scoopy neck T shirt in a stone colour, £1.25 in the community shop. I'm sure I bought the exact same thing last week but no matter... I find these very useful in winter to wear under sweaters and even dresses...bit more stylish that a liberty bodice or thermal vest :D

    Lady, I salute your style. :T :)

I've bought a navy & green tartan (deathwatch?) shift dress, round neck, short sleeves & 2 patch pockets, just above the knee.
Will look fabulous with navy or green opaques & either my navy Clarks chelsea boots or my 'grenade green' Doc Martens chelsea boots.
It's only New Look but the fabric is nice.
    £1 from Air Ambulance.

Anyone 'oop north' looking for a glamourous evening dress? Age Concern in Ilkley have a gorgeous :heart2: Ted Baker, brand new, short black one, sadly in a teeny, teeny size 0. It has a lace top with lovely beadwork and a swirly chiffon skirt with attached net petticoats. Only £79!! ;)
    [/QUOTE

I'm Ooop north as you know but I'm afraid it would go nowhere near me, thank goodness at that price! I have given up on the Ilkley chazzers altogether as their prices are just ridiculous these days. The only one where prices are anywhere near reasonable is Barnardos.

    Thanks.
Yes, it does look good (imho).

My Mum said to me at least 25 years ago 'Polly, don't you think you're getting a bit too old to wear those chunky boots (DMs) and patterned leggings?' :D
I think now I've passed 60, she's just accepted that her eldest daughter is never going to change and doesn't dress like the daughters of her friends.
That was when DMs weren't in fashion, no idea why I picked up on them.

Now, I've had young people asking where I've bought various pairs of my boots (especially the acid yellow patent and flowered ones). They're all vintage - except the 2 new pairs of chelsea boots.

Re the dress - it's not quite blackwatch (and definitely not deathwatch :rotfl:), more navy than green.
But - and this is the bonus - I've had a look at the dress and it's really simply made.
    Just 7 pieces in total.
One piece for the front, 2 pieces for the back, simple sleeves and pockets.
No zips, no darts (apart from 2 at the top of the sleeves).

I'm sure it wouldn't take me long to knock up a paper pattern and I think I could sew a dress in less than a couple of hours.
I have a lot of tartan and plain jersey-type fabric from when I used to make pull-on skirts so I'm going to have a rummage and see what I've got.
    I'm on a roll, ladies! :T
