  • I had a drive out to a nearby town and found a gorgeous Joules dress for £1 - very very pleased. Not sure when I'll have the chance to wear it, but far better than paying £50+ when an occasion does arise!

I was dropping some bits off at the CS yesterday and found a lovely little Next skirt for my daughter - £1.25 and it was brand new with tags.
I later popped into my favourite charity shop, where they charge 50p for all of the kids clothes. Unfortunately, now instead of having them on rails in size order, they're all dumped in huge tubs (waist height ones). I'm not sure I'll be digging through there very often...it seems like it will be a bit of a nightmare to find anything which is a real shame.

Yesterday, browsing the classic book section again with my 14yo daughter. I was getting from her:

    "You're so embarrassing Mum.

People who know me, might see me in here.

This is full of other people's junk

If it's cheap. It's cheap for a reason

    Haven't you finished yet?

    Can we go?

Do we really have to be in here?

Ohhhh, there's a Jack Wills mug for only £1.99. Can I have it'

For 50p a garment I would - and did just this on Tuesday. I thought it was strange that I couldn't see any clothes for children and was glad I asked after I was directed to a tub outside: 99p each, BoGoF. Yes it's a fag but was well worth it.

I bought a Desigual bag from British Heart Foundation yesterday.

It's a Spanish brand, a bit like this one but more colourful  and there is a strap in the middle where you can make it smaller:

I paid £9.99 which might sound a bit steep but I know these bags are expensive as my friend has bought some from Spain.
It would probably retail about £50.
I've found the exact bag on ebay for £40.

I know that China do fakes but this has a card from a hotel in Barcelona in one of the small pockets so I'm sure it's genuine.
Had a really good look at it and it doesn't appear to have been used much, if at all.

What a pretty bag! I always check out bags, but nothing except ancient worn out plastic ones in charity shops around here, although I did once find a fold up pull along wheels bag, which is great for Christmas shopping!
    May spend - £291.40/£320.00
    June spend - £106.40/£320.00

    Thanks, it is lovely. :)

If you search on ebay for 'desigual clutch bag', it's the one with the green lizard on.
    There's lot of different fabrics.

In a different part of the world today and found a new "special place". I hunted around the kid's bin and found 3 nice bouses two sets of leggings (one Minnie Mouse), a good quality pair of shorts, and a beautiful lacy white dress with a red ribbon trim. All for 50p each.

And 3 books for me, for £4. So £7.50 in total.
