I've been so lucky again! More gorgeous bits for my baby boy. Also had a lovely chappy from British Heart Foundation come & collect 6 bags of donations and our 2 Moses baskets. Hope some other babies sleep as well as my little boy did x

I went down to Clapham with a friend on Saturday and one of the charity-shops was selling everything for a pound each. Oh dear!

Considering the temptations I think I was really quite restrained:

A pair of White Stuff dark grey linen trousers

A pair of black Per Una denims

And a very natty multi-coloured, embroidered and mirrored Indian calf-length skirt

I just knew you'd been buying summery stuff again B&T....I have been paddling in rain everyday up here in that famous Lancashire coastal resort!!

I haven't been CS shopping for ages - but I'm planning a massive raid soon!!

What the blazes am I going to do with all this summery stuff if we get no proper summer apart from neatly folding and putting them all away for next year before I get the chance to wear any of it?

I just know I should have bought a fleece and some wellington boots.....
  • I bought 4 x Jeremy Clarkson books for 50p each. That's now 9 books in my To-Read list. :D

Well, I purchased a white cotton jumper originally sold in M&S for 99p. I am going to keep an eye out for coats and jackets in future especially as we are heading towards colder weather no doubt. At Barnadoes all the clothes are 99p and they are all in such good condition. Less than other charity shops charge too.

I'm not sure I'll ever be buying much in a "Proper" shop ever again, most of what I already have I think will last me for how long I have left on this earth so I probably could even stop buying at the charity shop in reality.

If I do go into a "propper" clothes shop it will probably be just for socks, underwear and trousers...

Its funny you say that Popperwell! I cant actually remember the last time I bought clothing or accessories from a 'proper shop'! It must be months and months ago. I did actually intend to have a look in Primark the other week but on my way there I decided not to bother. I'd rather spend what little pennies I have on quality second hand clothes rather than brand new tat from there!
Obviously when the time comes for new undies, bras, socks and such, oh and sportswear, I'll be buying new, but again with an emphasis on quality items that last. I would rather pay £25 for a good pair of trackies than £7 for a pair that will stretch and bobble to hell.

My best bargain recently has been my new coat. £5 from the Sally Army and I absolutely love it! I think it actually dates to the 60's or 70's. The label is Ladies Pride which I haven't heard of - maybe it will jog someone on here's memory? Its quite hard to describe but its a summerweight coat, fully lined with bracelet length sleeves. In immaculate condition apart from a teeny yellowish dot near the hemline but you can't see it unless you really look hard. Blue and white almost jacquard effect to the pattern. I'll try and take a pic to upload here.
I wore it to the hair salon on Wednesday and got complimented on it - I was thrilled!
