Well since I make a mean sauce with ripe cherry tomatoes, I think I'll spiralise courgette "spaghetti" in 2016, subject to my chazzer luck in the New Year.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

I managed to buy a circular piece of wall art,it's quite big.Its different sizes of tubes of metal welded together and painted black,my husband said why are you buying that it's hideous,he was right.I have spent the last few evenings painting each tube a different vibrant colour and just hung it on the wall and it looks amazing. And it only cost a pound because everyone thought it was ugly.0

I've just found this thread and love charity shops. My bargain last week was a Disney Trivial Pursuit for £1.99. On a well known retail site beginning with A, I couldn't find one for less than £30 and even on Ebay they seemed upwards of a tenner. DD2 (who is 21!) is going to love this.Books - the original virtual reality.

2 lovely long satin-type scarves with fringes which both match my dining set perfectly. At 50p each I don't need to buy expensive table runners0

Happy days - when we had a woodburner fitted I had to take down my large mirror as the heat from the fire would have damaged it. The wall looked so bare I also found a piece of metal wall art and like you I repainted it with car sprays - one of them is a metallic spray and catches the light beautifully & we've had many compliments.
I've been given a huge bag of jeans from a friend & there's only 1 pair that fit me that look nice! I will be taking the rest to my local CS - some are brand new so someone else will be getting some bargains!
Happy Hunting all!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Mary's Living and Giving Shops too expensive for me but visited Little Venice and Primrose Hill this week.
I couldn't find anything in my size either.
Lovely boots, handbags and clothes will definitely go back when I have the money to treat myself.0 -
Husband scored a blinder this week - dropped in & spotted a little rucksack that will splendidly replace middleson's battered current schoolbag.
Saw a Kenwood mixer, bowl & tools on the desk by the till & asked what it was being priced at, to be told "we can't sell it, it's Electrical". He asked if he could make a donation & take it away & they said, no - you're buying the bag anyway. So he puttered out laden with everyone happy!
I must find him a Mary Berry cookbook, pronto, before the magic wears off...0 -
I bought a hard back book for hubbies stocking - £3.50, the sort of thing he reads, looks 'flicked through' rather than read. it is a large weighty hard backed tome (£25 new) a lot of book for the price.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

The OH is really pleased with the results of my latest trawl through the local CSs - a heavy pure wool M & S fisherman's sweater in perfect condition (for £1), and a genuine German 1 litre beer stein - heavy earthenware, with a design hand-painted on it, for £2.50!
I've treated myself to a heavy tweed James Meade skirt - much warmer than trousers if it turns cold, especially with thick tights and boots. It was £3.50, would have been £99!0
