This weeks been fab.....
Gap cargo shorts for DH £1.99
Next short sleeved shirt for DH £1.99
Maine jeans for DH £2.99
Maine polo shirt for DH £1.99
All fit like a dream and look as though they've never been worn.
Essence jeans for me £3
A wicker tray, like the one Kirsty made on that programe last year £3
Skirt for dd1 - was priced at £4 but the lady said as DD had beautiful manners and would look gorgeous in it she could have it for £1. One very happy 16 year old DD!
Today I got 3 lovely brandy glasses for 99p and two stunning pottery houses that I paid £22 for but they're big and just what I've been looking for. The lady in there was so grateful for us buying both as she wanted them to go together but thought they were out of a lot of people's price budget.
Oh and a pair of winter suede boots for me (unworn). £2.50 and a gorgeous duvet cover for £1 that I just want for the fabric.
Quite a big spendy week but my bootfair/charity shop budget hasn't been dipped into for weeks.....might just have to do the next town along tomorrow....just incase."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
All I know is that Barnadoes opened a charity shop in my town and they sell every piece of clothing for 99p where the other charity shops on the town sell everything at more expensive prices and I have seen jumpers and other items oif clothing originally from M&S and a woman's sheepskin coat as good as new for again 99p.
I have managed to get some great jumpers and shirts to try and keep warm and avoid using the gas central heating."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

a long reach stapler (have wanted one for ages but couldn't justify buying one as I don't really need one) £2.99

Saw in one of those tedious "interior trends for this season" features in a Sunday glossy that they were priced up at £18.
I love it when someone compliments me on an outfit and it was a charity shop bargain. I told myself when I hit 30 that I'd just serenely smile and say thanks, but I still can't stop myself going "Hah!" and telling them the amazing price tag. It's like a double win.
I'm the same, I only ever buy from CS, car boots or ebay & am always so happy that I have to tell everyone who comments on them just how cheap my expensive clothes were.
I do try & buy decent fabrics & even when I was young never really followed fashion, so if my weight would remain the same the clothes I buy would last me most of the rest of my life.0 -
I just got a lovely little denim jacket (looks like a bolero/shrug type jacket) , and a really soft scarf, in nearly the same shade so it looks like they are a matching set. Fit perfect, looks great, both from M&S cost £4.00!
Love reading about everybodys bargains, gives me hope and inspiration.
Also love the "one in one out" idea to keep clutter free, so just bagged up some boots and a cardigan to drop off on return visit.

Hey! I did exactly the same thing at the weekend! I went to Chichester on the train and had a trawl of all the charity shops and the second hand book shop! I had a great time and came away with a little bag of crystals and also lots of shells. I buy shells from charity shops to decorate mirrors and frames with.0 -
I got a lovely top today for £1.99.0

Don't you just love visiting CS outside your normal circuit! Been visitng in laws today and took opportunity to take a trip into town which is far more a 'country' town than my 'town' town. Got a brand new, fitting me perfectly, pair of hotter shoes for £5 and a next summer style lightwear coat for £4.50 which is perect for this climate at the mo.
Thanks to everyone for inspiration x0 -
I went into the cs in the High St (aptly nicknamed H@arrods locally) yesterday, for the first time in weeks. I was looking for clothes, don't need any bric-a-brac I have enough of that of my own
, and came out with nothing - bargain! There are only 3 cs's between the two towns I visit, plus a couple of the big bargain clothes stores which are, on the whole, considerably cheaper. Now one of the cs's is due to close, rumour has it they're moving to bigger premises in a bigger town. Oh well, just have to stick with Primarni and Matt Alans
