Whenever I'm going to a new area, I search for 'charity shops' on yell.com.

You can also find out where they are in relation to each other by checking the map on yell.com.

I haven't had a charity shop bargain for months. :(

Oh Pollycat, thank you for making me feel less odd ... I have already searched online for charity shops in the area! It is so comforting to know that I'm not the only one who does this :rotfl:!

I really hope your patience is rewarded and you soon find a charity shop bargain that is well worth the wait. It can be so frustrating but I guess a bad patch makes a great charity shop find all the more special.

    Happy hunting x

I've been scouring my local charity shops for weeks and have found nothing. However, on Friday, I found a lovely Boden dress which looks as good as new. It will be perfect for a couple of family occasions we have this month and was only £6. Well worth the wait :).

We're off to Shropshire on holiday - can't wait. Does anybody know any good charity shops in the Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury area?! I don't think the charity shop bug ever goes on holiday! My family won't be very impressed when I try and sneak off in to a charity shop but I know I won't be able to walk past!

Bridgnorth has about 6/7 charity shops on the high street, there is an age concern shop down one of the side streets, the one with Lloyds bank on the corner.

Much Wenlock has a couple, but not really a town I would go to unless your visiting there to see the abbey.

Shrewsbury also has loads, some are on the street with Rackhams on it. At the top of that street turn left, ahead of you will be a heart one on a corner, then straight ahead with the heart one your left is another side street with loads on. Its the street with Lakeland on it.

Hope that helps, the Severn hospice shops are generally the cheapest but they are all pretty good.

If you happen to be in Telford, Wellington (A town in Telford) has the most. Telford town centre has none.
  • jay20043 - thank you so much for your help - that is brilliant.
  • This morning's find (very kindly held back for me by the manager of my favourite charity shop), which set me back the princely sum of £2. Black snakeskin Christian Louboutin shoes - genuine as far as I can ascertain, and needing a little attention to the heels, but wow, one of my best bargains this year, I reckon!

Today's finds from the hospice sale:-

New M & S Private Collection purply sleevelss top with knotted front £3 :)

    M & S Autograph pale blue T shirt with elbow length sleeves & boat neck 50p :)

    and

Been meaning to shorten a pair of silk trousers that I found in a chazza shop months ago. Kept forgetting to buy the right colour sewing thread. Today was looking through a box of odd bits & pieces in the hospice sale and found a big 'cop' of thread, just the right colour, for the amazing price of 10p. I am unbelievably thrilled with this find, (and the fact that I remembered I needed it!!) :j

I bought a Twister beach towel (£4), a Welsh Tweedmill blanket (£20) a Systema lunch box ( £0.75), a White Company mattress protector (£1)- usually cost £30 and two tumblers @ 0.30p each. Oh a soft blue blanket for Max the dog! This was this week`s trawl and from two shops!

That's the bargain of the century! Louboutins start at around £300!! I have similar ones ('very prive' style) in patent black leather and they cost me £450 new (21st birthday treat with my present money, most expensive thing I've ever bought lol!)

My bargains this week were two pairs of Oasis boot cut jeans, one black and one weathered blue, in really good condition £4.99 each.

I'm planning on dropping a dress size in the next few months after putting on a few pounds so I don't want to buy new ones in my current size and all my jeans that fit have started falling apart in the wash :s

I buy my jeans every 2 years in bulk from American Eagle Outfitters in the US because you just can't get the same quality for the price in the UK. Even with the shipping tax, when they're buy one get one half price or 50% off as they do at least once a year and there's a deal on shipping, I can get 6 pairs of jeans for £110 inc. everything, and they outwore my Levi's by 2 years! I also can't stand skinny jeans or stretchy denim and AE.com do jeans without elastane/spandex in boot or straight cuts and different lengths in several shades from pale to almost black.
