Has anyone seen the new charity shop in Worcs where Lakeland used to be? I didn't have time for a good look round today but it's massive and has a bookshop and caf! upstairs!

Ooh Frith - can you tell me which road this one is on so I can try and find it on my charity shop crawl?! (Hope it happens - I'm getting quite excited about exploring - how sad is that!!)

    Thank you
  • Oh no - trip to Worcestser may no longer happen and I was getting so excited. Feel in need of some charity shop therapy! Found nothing near me recently.

Thank you Frith and Hobson's Choice for all your help - I will wait patiently for an excuse to visit!

I've been charity shop bargain mad these past few weeks. I'm planning to do a craft fair stall near Xmas selling upcycled unusual gifts. Here's a list of my latest finds:

4 Moroccan print cups (two green and blue, two pink and yellow) 39p each (for growing herbs in)
    Vintage olive oil can £1.50
Shaun the sheep duvet cover and pillowcase £3 (to make bags & purses)
Old vintage book (for decoupage) 50p
A nearly new fat face long skirt £5 (£42 new)

Hi all, had some lovely finds in a CH yesterday.

A new set of net curtains for my front room large window.
They are x2 nets that cross over and tie back giving the peep hole that Queen bee dog loves when she sits on the sofa back.£6

A pair of pink curtains with pink flowers on. Cotton and lined.
Single matching duvet, pillow case and matching frilled sheet. £10.
I have an idea to put the curtains up at the top of stairs where I have my desktop computer. Cut up the duvet for a matching table cloth and chair cover. I will get my sewing maching busy :0).
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

3 X 4 metre lengths of dressmaking fabric, pink floral cotton, brown/green floral cotton and blue cheesecloth which seems to be double width as well ! £9 the lot !

I've just started making clothes but fabric is so expensive I don't want to spend a fortune and find it goes horribly wrong. I found two long lengths of another pink floral fabric a couple of months ago and made a top which worked out really well so onwards and upwards :D I'm not normally a 'pink' person but that could change ....I love the 'homespun' look .

Frilled to bits with today's finds in the hospice chazza shop.

Firstly, a fab fitted formal dress, looks new, by Hobbs. Was taking a gamble on it fitting me as you can't try on or return and the price was £9 so could have been an expensive mistake. But, wheeeee...it fits perfectly and is so beautifully made. I am thrilled as I know how expensive Hobbs stuff usually is. :j

Also found a BNWT M & S skintone bra in my size for £1 :)

    And a cream silky T shirt, also by M & S for £1.25 :)
  • I bought a lovely pine kitchen island from a charity shop, bargain at £40 with £5 delivery ♥
