What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

£1 charity shop was having a bogof on ladies trousers so managed to get two waistcoats and two pairs of trousers for three pounds.
I found some red heels for a costume party in the local barnados which cost £3.0 -
This week I've found a few nice things:
Droitwich yesterday - White Stuff red tunic style top with butterfly pattern. It said size 16 but is cut quite strangely round the neck/top so sort of billows open. :-/ Might wear it a couple of times then Ebay it!
Kidder today: DVD of steam trains for smaller son, Terminator 3 for bigger son. Jeans for smaller son (£2.50)0 -
I bought today....two lovely monsoon tops for £2.50 each.......bargain..:D0

I got a 'Hello Kitty' hooded dressing gown - age 9-10 - for my extremely tall 6yr old dgd.
All her clothes are age 9-10 so I know that it'll fit her; not 7 until October, she also wears size 2 shoes !0 -
I personally think the Heart Foundation Furniture shops are good value for money. You seem to save quite a bit by buying from them rather than elsewhere.0

Why not try putting a broach in it to pull it in . Watch the programme about the vintage as they alter a lot of clothes.0 -

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I got a copy of Elizabeth David's "English Bread and Yeast Cookery" in a CS the day before yesterday, plus a Tuscan Cookbook, large format hardback and perfect for the OH to leaf through... £3 for both.
The Elizabeth David one is absolutely pristine, obviously never used, with an undamaged dust cover - and one I've been looking for for ages as I lent my previous copy (also CS but battered....) to someone and had given up any hope of getting it back! And since I'd looked at Abebooks to see if I could get another copy, I knew I'd got an absolute bargain - I reckon I wouldn't have got both of these for under £40!0 -
I got a boxed Lakeland bread slicer for £2.50. It is the lightweight plastic fold-up one with a cutting guide which sells at £20.79. There is no way on earth I would ever pay the full price, but it will be a handy gadget when I have resumed my bread making. If you just keep looking you will eventually find all your wants for very little indeed.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14
