Frith when you are next planning a trip to Hereford have a look on the st michaels hospice website first and click on shops you will see that there four shops are about a mile from the centre you might not know about at. Whitecross, holme lacy road, holmer road (warehouse) and the college. All are competitively priced.
Most of the charity shops that were near the building that went on fire have moved down to Eign Gate. Seven in that street alone. There are four more down St Owens street too. Several more in the back streets too.
If you leave it till after May 9th (opening a bit later than advertised) you can have a look at the new shopping centre while your there too as its opening then.
    Hope that helps

Ps just to confirm the railway hospice shop is in Leominster not Hereford.

Don't forget the big st michaels hospice warehouse not far from the railway station. Huge warehouse of furniture and clothes. I'm from Hereford too and always make a point of visiting this one when I'm up that way. :j

That's news to me - where is it? The St Michael's Hospice warehouse/shop that I go to is in Whitecross Road, the other side of town from the station. There's another one?
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Saw a lovely dress in the local Charity shop last night as i was passing, but couldn't see the tag withe the size and price, called in this morning it was my size and new with tags papaya occasionwear, i am going to a wedding a week on Saturday, tried it on in the shop and everyone said how nice it looked, the helpful lady also brought me a Jaegar dress and jacket to try on, and a planet dress, but everyone agreed the first dress i tried on looked the best, i was really pleased with my bargain £3 dress.

The railway station one is in Leominster. I realised when I looked later my comment was a bit ambiguous. Will change it now. :o

Not been out for a while but went into the British heart foundation in Solihull as I need new tops for work as I have lost just over a stone in weight. Found a M and S and a TU from Sainsburys both £4.49 and my daughter found a new look top for £3, all in excellent condition, non of them look like they have hardly been worn. Am very pleased xx

Not c s but did a "swish" yesterday. I had given 6+ things that I had (and was sick of the sight of!) It was a fiver as it was a fundraiser which was really good. You could then choose the same number of things that you had donated. Was absolutely over the moon with my stuff. Got a fab dress for work (F&F), a smashing summery top (Principles), a pair of yoga pants, a pair of Monsoon cream wide leg trousers (on a hanger in a bag from the dry cleaners!!), a necklace from Wallis (still with ticket), an unusual summery bag and a silk belt/scarf type thing. They are having another one later in the year - fabulous idea imo - very happy bunny :)
  • Mine wasn't from a charity shop, but from the local tip (did a de-clutter of the garden shed) yesterday.

Got a fake rose bush (roses are a yellow colour). About 4 1/2 - 5 feet in height. Very sturdy & absolutely nothing wrong with it. And was free. Delighted to get it.
Hadn't been put into any of the tips containers at the time I was there late afternoon. But the guys who were working there said at, they were going to turf it soon, if no-one wanted it.

    Something similair to this:

    Hi all :)

I went to Bromsgrove yesterday and checked out the charity shops after taking my DS to soft play.

    Bought:

    *Mothercare animal puzzle 99p
    *John Lewis Boy Swimshortd £2.29
    *Next T-shirt for DS £1.25
*Cream long Love Is All You Need t-shirt (originally from TK Maxx) £2.99
*Floral cut out Topshop dress £5.99
    *Parisian fluffy black jumper £3.49

I'm really pleased with the swimshorts as my DS has just grown out of his and last week i almost bought some not as nice ones for £10. The Topshop dress was from BHF and pretty expensive, but i'd been eyeing this dress up for ages on ebay and even 2nd hand they sell for £20 plus postage.

    Suze :)
