Back to my fav shop once again - becoming an obsession so decided to put it to some use. I have now volunteered to work and am going in tomorrow morning!!!!
Got a brand new top from next with label still attatched (£28) for £1 in my size and style.
Lord knows how I shall resist buying working there but at least I will feel I am giving something back for all the bargains I have had. Xx0 -
Remember I mentioned that I'd spotted a Laura Ashley dress in my last post? In the Air Ambulance CS (but didn't but it as I'd splurged on a coat)
Popped back yesterday, and couldn't see it anywhere! But it had been in the messy back room and there was stacks of stuff piled up round the rail it'd been on.... so asked the ladies if they'd remembered selling it... next thing, one of the lovely ladies is climbing over all the piles of stuff, searching for this dress... and eventually found it!! and the best thing.... everything was half price!!!!! :T :j
It fits like a dream too!!!
So, Laura Ashley dress (re-discovered) was £7, paid £3.50
Bright Pink Monsoon ballet pumps were £2.50, paid £1.25
I'm a happy bunny today :rotfl:
xx
Oh, almost forgot, local strut store last week, 2 books and a jacket for my friends little boy - grand total 90p ~ gave them a pound and told them to keep the change!!!0 -
Still loving this thread.
I have had a quick mooch around this morning and across 3 CS I got :-
Wallis top for me £3
Radley bag for me £3
3 CDs - 1 for £2, 1 for £1, and 1 for 10p
Jane Norman top for DD - £1
2 ramekins - 10p each
All a bit random but I didn't go for anything in particular and just wanted a bit of a mooch so I am very pleased with my purchases.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -

I would die for a Radley for £3! Gosh, our charity shops are full of Sainsburys, Primark etc clothes at more or less the same price they cost new! I'm reading through this thread with MAJOR envy.0 -

It was just good timing really. Its not a leather Radley bag. Its an across body bag, is made from the sort of waterproof cloth material you get on a very posh pram only smaller IYSWIM.
As I was paying for the Wallis top someone brought it out of the back and asked if I fancied it for £3 as it had a couple of marks on it and they weren't sure if to sell it or not.
I took the risk and washed it on the lowest cycle on my washer and its now immaculate. :T.
Will see if I can post a pic upAims for 2014

O do try BBTHREE, I love to see pics on threads but am still technically inept. Will have another tutorial from my DS & see if I can master it.
I agree about the timing & would strongly recommend that you persist stardust-girl. I used to think exactly the same but after a while you kind of develop an "eye" for spotting nice things in amongst the primani & sainsbugs stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with it but I'd rather buy quality stuff & throw less away.
Pleeeease try BBTHREE & I'll try to master it & see if I can post my recent finds. Got one of my CS dresses on now as going to work soon & have to be smart.
Thanks to all posters for contributing, I love reading about everyone's finds. x0 -

Hi, did you go to the one next to Farmfoods? I thought they were a bit expensive. There is one next to the large Asda (easy parking if you have a little one and don't want to trail round town) smaller but seemed cheaper. Good hunting!Slightly bitter0 -
At a Car Boot today, DS got some cars but my best bargain was £6.50 for some (new) toiletries/cosmetics- some top brands. Worked out when I got home that at the lowest current selling prices I got over £70 worth of things....incl Soap and Glory, Avon, Boots etc. Well pleased.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
