What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

From reading this thread since it started, there seems to be an increase in people buying from CS and then selling on for profit.
Am I the only person who has a slightly iffy feeling about this?
I understand that this is some peoples' means of income, but how do people feel about the CS who could be selling the same items for similar ampounts to help their work?
I guess everyone is entitled to do what they wish with their CS purchases.
I've never bought anything from a CS with the intention of making money from that purchase.
I usually buy decent M&S, Next, Wallis, Debenhams or the more rarer ranges like Mantarey/White Stuff/FatFace/Fossil to wear myself. I wear a lot of tunics with leggings.
I just recycle my CS purchases back to my local hospice shop - which reminds me that it's time for another clear-out.0 -
I find im buying my son aged 10 more stuff out of cs as I getting such good bargains, mostly all from Next and immaculate they then get passed down to my brothers son who is 18 months younger and from there either bin or if in good nick back to cs.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z #7 member N.I splinter-group co-ordinater
I dont suffer from insanity....I enjoy every minute of it!!.:)

When I donate to a charity shop I often wonder what journey my unwanted items go on. I love the idea they will be given a new life (maybe several!) after i have finished with them.
I really don't mind if the charity shop makes what they want from a donated item and then someone on-sells it. If only we could see how much something generates over its lifetime of being recycled through CS, or other selling. I also like the idea that someone who needs the money can make something out of it too.
I buy most of my clothes, kitchen things that I need etc at CS's and am thankful for people's generosity if they donate something new or in good condition, maybe a mistake purchase or unwanted gift. The charity makes their money and I get a great bargain. If I don't need it later on, I donate it back to the shop. Today I got a Fisher Price doll, new in box, that looks exactly like one of my little granddaughters, right down to the hair style. Not really cheap at £5 but I can't wait to give it to her!!Slightly bitter0

They have been washed this afternoon and are now ready to wear or put away for him to grow into. He played with some of their toys whilst I had a look through the rails team work at only 16months old.Why pay full price when you may get it YS0

Hi all
Got a few nice bits in town the other day. From Oxfam i got a White Stuff cream cardigan with butterfly print and embroided flowers and cute wooden buttons. £2.99 and it's in beautiful condition, so pleased.
Also got a pink cotton shrug for £1.99. It's by a brand called Pins and Needles, never heard of it but again it's in immaculate condition.
Last week i also popped back and bought a chunky cream Miss Selfridge jumper for £3.09 from Age UK. It had a little bit of make-up on it, but luckily i've managed to get it out.

Apologies in advance as I know this is very politically incorrect and I would never buy as new ..... but my conscience was appeased by it being very, very vintage... a long, mink scarf complete with feet and tails for a £5 from the Hospice Shop
Two large brocade cushions with immaculate inner cushion pads for £2 each also from the Hospice Shop:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls
