I can confirm that I got the same offer as the OP. Free line rental, E&W calls, caller display and unlimited broadband with free router for 12 months. It is not an offer on their website. I got it by calling them.

I have had it for a month now and there are no additional charged on my Sky account.
I see ....so it's a type of retentions deal. I would rather half price Sky TV. When I had Sky TV I was always offered half price telly on threat of cancellation even at £8 a month for Sky it was still too much for me so I eventually went through with cancellation and just kept the freesat from Sky service for no charge. Have to say I haven't missed it much at all.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

I was offered it and took a week or two to ask questions on here and look into it properly. One downside was that 0845 calls are not inclusive with Sky, but that was no biggie for the amount I was going to save.

I called on 2 Feb to take out the offer and was told it would be installed within 3 weeks. However I got an email either the same night or next day with an activation date of 17 Feb.

The router arrived about 5 days before activation and it was activated when I came home from work on 17 Feb.

Had it all set up on 3 pc's within 10 mins.

I was given estimated speeds of 5.00-11.5Mbps inititally. However after the 10 day training period my account stated that my line had been set at 3.1Mbps. I am not going to argue with this as that is around the same speeds as I have had with my previous ISP's and is down to the quality of the line and distance from the exchange.

So far I haven't found anything to complain about and for a saving of £210 a year it was worth it to me.

The alternative offer was 25% off the Sky subscription for 12 months, but the free lines rental, etc was a better deal for me once I had looked into it and was happy with what I would be getting.

BTW we are only on the cheap Sky package without any of the fancy expensive stuff.

Thanks Luci, that's good to know. I'm only on the cheapest package too. I will perhaps consider such a deal again in the future.
