What should I do - when is saving money not worth it?

No, I've been told I am getting them both free, as I have Sky TV.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

They are giving both to me free as I rang up to see what offers they could do for me. What does traffic-managed mean please?0

Traffic managed means the throughput is restricted if you try and download films during peak times. They generally allow you to do whatever you want between midnight and 8am.
If I download a film in the evening it takes 2-3 hours but if download a film after midnight it takes about 10 minutes.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

Yes, I double-checked it with them and it says it's on my package too (the unlimited version).
I think Plusnet had traffic management too as I could download free of charge midnight-0800. Sadly if their customer service hadn't been so appalling over this line problem I would never have switched from them as previously I was quite happy with them!0 -

It is in writing - it's on my package but I will screen-print just in case. Good point about the 30 days thing; I suppose I was thinking it might be simpler just to stick with who I know rather than wait a month for someone who may not be any good, free or not! I doubt I could uncancel BT and the special deal they offered me anyway, to be honest.0
-
Grr well I can uncancel BT and still get the special offer but it's £11.40 a month not £9 like I was told on the phone. I don't understand these people at all.0
-
After much hooha, I decided to cancel the Sky offer and they gave me 25% off my bill instead, which means I can stick to my current providers. Thanks for all your advice folks. It really does show it pays to shop around, and to ask for deals!0

I can confirm that I got the same offer as the OP. Free line rental, E&W calls, caller display and unlimited broadband with free router for 12 months. It is not an offer on their website. I got it by calling them.
I have had it for a month now and there are no additional charged on my Sky account.0 -
How did you find the service Luci?
I'm not taking it up this time, but may do in the future if it's offered again and they can provide it in less than a month.0
