You should be posting on DFW really because at the moment you are £300 a month down until you get these direct payments
But then you forgot your student loans and grants!0 -

£5,000 is a loan and very much repayable. A loan can hardly be classed as income.
It isn't £12,000 now I have an au pair because £4,500 of that was Childcare Grant to pay nursery. So now its £5k loan and £2.5k grants, and those come in lump sums and are used on the house0 -

My son doesn;t see his Dad, but he does see his Nan on Friday, he's collected Fri morning (another day off for the au pair) and back Saturday morning.
As mentioned, I get my uni money and extra things like the skating come out of that.0 -
I will swap with you....... more money coming in, full time carer for both of you, social buddy when it suits, you have a car.
We get a lot less for the three of us .
Hope what you have mentioned is correct and that you have had you questions answered here.
Just one big tip.... try to spend more time with your little one - his life will fly by. You dont want him to remember sitting infront of the tv all day with a lady who doesnt care and mum is out all the time. See through the little ones eyes - he is probably crying out for cuddles but not sure who to ask.......0
