We also decided not to purchase (or view) a house that was next to a petrol station.........it was a reaonably well priced, fair sized period detached house with a decent sized garden overlooking open countryside, but the proximity of the petrol station with its noises, smells, bright lights etc totally put us off..........it did sell shortly afterwards but for considerably less than the original asking price.Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
