visits to parents

Hi all. Just wondered how often you see your parents. Thanks for any replies!

My parents live just over 4 hours away for us and i get to see them maybe 4 times a year but they are retiring early so hopefully they will be able to see a lot more of them, I speak to my mum almost every day though. Hubby parents live 20 minutes away and works with his dad every day but probably see his dad and mum together once every month.

If I lived near her, I'd see my Mum probably 2 or 3 times a week. But I don't, I live nearly 400 miles away from her and 2 siblings, so its most school holidays (so every 8 weeks or so I see her, for 3 or 4 days usually).

2 or three times a week, more if Mum is not too good. Dad died ten years ago, and Mum in full time care now, although she is taken out by us four siblings every weekend, we each take a turn, and visit a couple of times during the week too.

She is about half an hour away as the crow flies from us four.

Easy for us, not so easy for others, doesn't matter, if you love them, they know it, no matter when you can visit.

As long as it's for love, not duty, in my book it doesn't matter, they know.

see mine about every 6 weeks they live about 4 hours away, my partners parents at least once a week they live 30 mins away

I see mine twice a year. I go see them at Christmas, and they come see me in June usually. They live 200 miles away. We're both pretty busy people, so usually have to book the June weekend months in advance. We email and phone every few weeks.

around once or twice a month I go up for a weekend. However when I lived in England I would only see them about 4 - 5 times a year max

OH's parents - half an hour away - we visit them once at the weekend

Much the same for me.....

They live 6 miles away, and they usually call in once a week for a cuppa.

I see them more often if there's some other event, like Mothers Day or they're picking the youngest one up from school for me one day next week as I've got a hospital appointment.

Why do you ask?

Hi ya thanks for all your replies. I just feel like I don't do enough in my parents view to visit or invite them over. I am busy and try to meet up with them around once a week. I am an only child and don't have anything anyone to compare myself with so thought I would ask you guys. They are local.
