I applied online monday 19th, recieved forms today. Does anyone know what to put in the initial deposit box on the confirmation slip,if only doing a transfer , not sure of the exact amount as I am transfering 2 isa's.
Is there a form to be signed? If not, I could download and fill in the transfer form and my daughter could fill in any other form and post it for me.
Think I will ring them first thing tomorrow to see why there is a delay. I was already a BM customer, so they don't need to check ID.0 -

I did explain my problem and ask if I would be better opening the account on-line, but they said they would still need to send me stuff.
Have I been given poor advice?
Although BM say open "online", all that does is create a pre-filled in "confirmation slip" that has to be signed and returned to them in order for them to process the application, so just signing the transfer form wouldn't be sufficient.0 -

OhSo you are saying there is something more to sign other than the transfer form when my welecome pack arrives? I really hope not as I'm not at that address for a few weeks, I was aiming to just fill in the transfer form (printed online) and send it back.
Thanks,

That's what I was lead to believe when I asked.0 -
Just got the forms through (been away, so only just got to my post) and the rate quoted is 3.60% - impressive - NOT0

Have spoken to BM this morning as our post arrives late and I am out this afternoon.
Pack has been sent, but they will resend by special delivery guaranteed to arrive before 1pm Saturday.
There is confirmation slip to sign plus transfer form. i queried whether I could have opened quicker on line, but they confirmed what 10_66 said........ there would still be a pack sent requiring a confirmation slip to be signed.0 -

They are still advertising this on their website as a 2 year fixed rate at 4.05%. Bit confused by what goRt said about it being 3.6%. Surely if we apply now, while it's advertised, they have to give the 4% for 2 years?
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
EDIT Just seen Jennifernil's post - so am I ok to go ahead with this then?0 -

Rate shows correctly at 4.05%Scaredy_Cat wrote: »They are still advertising this on their website as a 2 year fixed rate at 4.05%. Bit confused by what goRt said about it being 3.6%. Surely if we apply now, while it's advertised, they have to give the 4% for 2 years?

There's a statement saying 'make any amendments and return the forms, which I guess applies to the personal data, but badly written.
So I've corrected the paperwork with the agreed rate on the phone - I went for the monthly option as I'm 3p / 1,000 / yr better off due to rounding - a point I made on the phone.0 -
My pack arrived one day after applying on line. There is a confirmation form to sign. There is only one transfer form so if you have more than one to transfer it is as well to photocopy it before filling it in. It already has your account details etc on it. The rate quoted on my paperwork was for the monthly option as I requested. I put 'transfers from existing providers' in the amount box on the confirmation form. Hope this helps somebody.0
