Just got off the phone from BM, the lady I spoke to said she was unable to say if this ISA would still be available for 2012/13 allowance.

Hopefully it will (or a better rate!) as I need somewhere to put my 2012/13 Isa allowance.
If I was a betting man, I'd expect it to be out there until Santander pull their 4.00% rate.

I'm hoping you are right o4u, otherwise IL probably go for the Halifax 3 yr fix @4.25 (thats if that one is still available then).

I got put off from the Santander 4% offering because of when it matures, as Snowman puts it in his post I would prefer to go for one that matures during the ISA pantomime season!

I phoned this morning to confirm the fact that I'd be transferring an existing ISA and not sending a cheque and was told that as it is a postal account I would be receiving a transfer form automatically in the post with confirmation of opening.

Thanks for the link to the transfer form - I've downloaded that in case it doesn't arrive.

I opened this account yesterday (20th). I was told that a transfer form would be in the pack being posted to me and I should photocopy it if transferring more than one isa. All looking good so far. I liked the interest rate and maturing in time to catch the isa 'season' in 2014! Fed up with having isas scattered in different places so putting them in one place at a good rate is fine with me.
  • Did they mention wether or not you could add your 2012-13 allowance in as well before a certain date?

The reply I got ,was along the lines of " if the product is still available in the new tax year"...in other words no-one knows!!!!:rotfl:

Applied over the phone, took 6 minutes, transfer forms posting to me, 14 days to return the forms if the ISA closes today!

Have you received the forms yet?

I also opened this account by phone on Saturday 17th, but have received nothing yet. Really annoying as we are going away on Sunday 25th and I need to submit the transfer form before we go as we are away for 3 months.

Are there forms to be signed other than the transfer form? I could download one.

I did explain my problem and ask if I would be better opening the account on-line, but they said they would still need to send me stuff.

Have I been given poor advice?

I applied online monday 19th, recieved forms today. Does anyone know what to put in the initial deposit box on the confirmation slip,if only doing a transfer , not sure of the exact amount as I am transfering 2 isa's.

I think you can put the approximate amount with the words "approx". As long as you tick the "transfer full amount" box then they should close the existing ISA and transfer the full amount plus interest.

If you don't know the approximate amounts then you can contact the existing ISA providers who should be able to tell you.
