One would assume that a 'big chain' would have certain procedures as standard across the chain which makes the story even more unlikely.

You make far, far too many assumptions.

I used to think bankers and politicians and especially the police were honourable people.

Live and learn, eh? Live and learn.:D

What did you pay for the juice with? Money out of your wallet? But your wallet was in the locker with the cash in it. Wasn't it? ;)

And another thing....Why did you take your car keys to the juice bar if you fully intended to return to the locker to get your stuff? :rotfl:

    GF aka Columbo :D:D:D

No. Wallet's still with me (why would I keep all my cash in one place i.e. my wallet - are you mad?)

I wasn't driving - so no car keys required.

You obviously have more money than sense.

You still haven't explained what your friend is doing about his lost clothes.

    Nothing.

But he didn't lose a sizeable amount of cash at the same time.

I think I have more sense than money, by the way. Horse before the cart, otherwise. :rotfl:

I've just read the bit he posted in #62

So these two left their dark clothes (not suits - oh dear) in their lockers and went to the juice bar carrying their gym bags. Why? if you KNOW you are going back to your locker then anyone with any sense (which rules our intrepid twosome out) would also leave their gym bag in the locker.

Why lug a gym bag with you just to go and have a juice? If you know you've got to go back to your locker? But that's what they appear to have done.

Why not put both sets of funeral clothes in one locker and the gym bags in the other. No brainer surely. Of course under this scenario they would've then lost gym kit as well but hey ho! ;)

I wonder if they lost their jumpers/PE kits/coats at Primary school? :rotfl:

For a chap who claims to have accepted his senior moment for what it was and moved on he's spending an awful lot of time rereading and checking this thread for replies. Backs up my theory that it was a fake problem.

Well at the end of the day your problem is a) proving that the clothes were there in the first place b)that they were worth £500 and c) the clothes were removed/stolen/whatever you want to call it by the staff

Unless you can prove all 3 then I don't see what action you can take.

Well...... I've never gone for a juice and forgotten to get my stuff out of a locker at the gym. :rotfl:

You might not have but I certainly have and on more than one occasion :rotfl:

I've also left stuff in the gym lockers overnight and it's still been there the next day!

OP I'm guessing someone checked the locker contents, found your stash of cash so decided to swipe the lot and claim it had been disposed of. There should be CCTV cameras to check movements of of people in/out of the changing rooms. Request to see which staff were last in the changing rooms that evening and see what they say ;)

Why are you coming back and editing your posts (as highlighted, in red, above), the day after you posted them (you have done so with three posts on only one page - a tad obsessive, dontcha fink? I couldn't be bothered checking any of the other pages/posts) . Is it, as I suspect, to interfere with evidence pertaining to your imbecility?

Or is it that you are secretly in love with me?:smileyhea
I feel sure there's a life out there, somewhere, with your name on it.

So why don't you get off of your fat-one and take a peek outside?

Failing which, you might find a cute little bunny to boil.

This is getting a little too Hitchcockian for my liking:eek::eek::eek:

I wonder who Gladys Friday was in a previous incarnation... his/her posting style is certainly very familiar!

I'd be lying if I claimed that that hadn't crossed my mind:D

I will be asking what staff were on duty, as you suggest.

CCTV won't help cuz locker rooms don't have CCTV in them (if they did, I'd be applying for a monitoring job, double-quick time:rotfl:).

So, no-one will be recorded actually pocketing the cash and without that evidence, it's hardly likely they are going to 'fess-up.

But, if I ask for a settlement I can hardly be any worse off than if I don't, is my opinion.

    Thanks for your input, Chameleon.
