Clearly everyone's Wattson transmitters are more reliable than mine!

Mine isn't accurate. I've swapped transmitters and clamps and it varies day to day with it's accuracy.

Would you purchase a replacement if you lost yours? Should I delay my purchase?

Not too bad today. At 5 pm I could see the sun and a bright moon in a very clear blue sky. 12,700 Wh / 3,780 Wp = 3.36 Os.

I haven't as yet taken possession of the spoon, but I haven't achieved Merlin-like results either.

Got my best day, hooray. 14.1kWh and 2.53 O's. WNW got 4.1, so first 2+ O day for the 'less than optimised' array, or should that be the 'even less, than less than optimised' of my arrays.

Been having a bit of a ding dong recently on this thread:

BBC on Oil - are low prices here to stay

I'm always fascinated by the sheer effort people will put into finding problems with PV (or renewables in general) if they don't actually have much knowledge or experience of them. You'd think folk would want to learn more, and expand their knowledge of all the new and exciting 'stuff' that's happening, rather than just bunker down and deny all change.

Still, it keeps me busy, and off the meths.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

My beef with it is it's accurate enough for me for 3 days or so, then goes off on one and adds 300W to usage. The only thing that fixes it is removal of batteries for a few minutes until it stops transmitting. Reinsert the cables and all's well again. I'll bet in another 3 days time, it'll do just the same now I've reset it.

Now, back to more important things! Snow and sleet until lunchtime.
I've been out to buy a display cabinet for all my spoons :D

    5.58 kWh / 1.395 O's (because that last "5" is so important!)
    Peaked at 2115W

mainly cloud free apart from a massive cloud which knocked production to virtually zero for 90 minutes.

Despite this unwelcome interruption to normal service we topped out at 3.4095 Os (my last "5" must be less important than yours - lol)

Hi Mac, and welcome back. History tells me; as a guesstimate, I think you now owe me at least 10 'Big Macs'....eating-burger-2.gif...:D

Today 4.48 O's, getting close to the illusive Hawaii. Not seen one in March since 9th of March 2014.....smiley-laughing021.gif......coffee.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

Maybe it simply doesn't like being powered by batteries outside in the meter wall cupboard.
Am asking for a refund on it, which means I'll have a Wattson Anywhere to sell.

Don't think they do Groovy; Try it inside on mains power...:D
