    Sounds like in your cases the inverter is recording too little - most including me have it the other way round
    My inverter under-reads by about 0.5%, I'd rather have it that way round.

    Free electricity`s great....would be even better getting the free elec after daylight hours.....
    I`ve had a flyer through the door from `Absolute - the renewable energy company`. They are `introducing` the Absolute Solar Battery System -

    * Increase `self use` of panle power to 85%
    * Combat `energy price inflation`
    * 10 year battery life expectancy
    * Expandable system
    * Can be fitted to existing Solar PV Panel Systems

    Anyone heard of this? I thought this technology was deemed not ready or too expensive at this time? That`s all the info I`ve got and can`t seem to find much online. The theory sounds nice!

    Guess it would cost an "absolute" bomb and take years to recoup your outlay. In a few years time maybe:)

    3.15 O's today:D

    This is appropriate in my area.;)

    Google found it on the first hit:

    The price will be the killer.

    The technology is definitely 'ready' - and has been for 40+ years (imagine the Apollo rockets blasting off with 250,000 miles of cable towed behind :D ).

    But it will be way too expensive - and no doubt the price will be discretely ignored under the old 'Rolls Royce principle' (if you need to know how much, you won't be able to afford it).

    3.47 O's for us today!!!

    From what I understand the new on-line FIT account will replace the paper statements they normally send!!

    Edwink ;)

    As Malc from E-On said; you will still get the paper... for your records...:rotfl: I am with E-On for FIT as well; to be fair, from the early days for me 2011; their payments have been spot on, and their new on-line system will be even better hopefully, talking-to-god-smiley-emoticon.gif

    4.08 O's for me; Just putting in my 1/4 reading in to E-On FIT online; see if it works.....office-basketball-smiley-emoticon.gif

    I do not like wasting paper and will be pleased when they are paper free but as they are still sending out paper statements (at the moment) I will use them as cheap firelighters to light my stove. You know Oscar the stove without the CHIMNEY!!! Well the brick one any way!!!

    I've just posted an article on the news thread. Whilst it's not specifically about PV storage, it does summarise most of the issues:

    This article is more about oil, but raises some interesting points about future trends and PV specifically:

    Oil industry on borrowed time as switch to gas and solar accelerates

    Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

    For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.
