Another nice day yesterday, with 4.33 Os. Been a very steady and solid month. Today should be good too.

Just noticed how even(ish) the weeks have been (in kWh):
    ESE
    W1 111
    W2 109
    W3 94
    W4 124

    WNW
    W1 58.6
    W2 53.3
    W3 57.3
    W4 60.5

Also, annual gen is predicting 106% and 4,500+, neither of which I've ever seen before on my spreadsheet. I have average figures entered for the rest of the year, which get written over, so actual gen could be lower/higher/similar, but with 7 months of actual gen, things are looking very good.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

    Car Insurance Carver!
5.8 and 5.9 O's the past couple of days. Clocked up 10MWh on the TGM on Tuesday and 2.5MWh on the Immersun's total diversion yesterday.

With a day to go we've notched up 526.8 kWh this month, but we're not going to beat July 14's 561kWh. As predicted though we've surpassed June 14's 517kWh, but only yesterday so if July had the same number of days as June it would have been only slightly better.

As far as i was aware you can ask to be swapped to metered and then have 12 months in which to change your mind, other than that it's not compulsory.

There are several circumstances under which meters can be used compulsorily for water services billing. See OFWAT website:
    http://www.ofwat.gov.uk/consumerissues/meters/prs_faq8_consissuesmeters

"Your company can choose to install a meter at your property. However, it can only charge you using the meter if you:
    • use an automatic watering device (such as a garden sprinkler)
    • automatically fill a swimming pool
    • have a power shower or extra-large bath
    • use a reverse osmosis water softening unit
    • are the new occupier of a property (provided it has not already sent you an unmetered bill)
    • live in a water stressed area where the Government has allowed compulsory metering as part of a plan to maintain secure water supplies"

    Hello all.

Not posted recently, so thought I would just give my monthly figures.

June finished on 489.3kWh which was 112% of pvgis.

This month just closed at 605.6kWh..137% of pvgis.

This is my first year, so have no comparison, but think this figure is pretty good(??).

Quite a few days hovering in the 22+ kWh and only one day at a dreadful 5.4kWh:eek:, which is when we had the thunder storms and torrential rain. Highest day was on 10th when we hit 28.5, but think the heat really impacted production later in the month.

Here goes for my monthly end ofs...

    ESE 295kWh(134% PVGIS)
    SSW 261kWh(122% PVGIS)
    WNW 305kWh(126% PVGIS)

Both the ESE & SSW bettering last Julys figures

For all those on the new lower tariffs then turn away now, my monthly income comes in at just over £324, thank goodness its tax free

Gas import was 3 units, don't know if that's cubic yards, feet or metres, don't really care, I do know its about a fiver

Electric import was 261kWh, quite a few of them due to having the aircon after the sun had gone down smiley-shocked003.gif

    All in all....happy days

When I started building our new house (17 years ago now) it was compulsory for all new properties (at least in Severn Trent area although I understood it to be a national policy) to have a water meter fitted.

But even if it hadn't been, I'd certainly be a great deal worse off without my meter. Using rainwater to flush WCs is worth approx. a third off a 'normal' bill and having storage tanks alongside garden sheds for watering is another big saving. Without a meter I wouldn't get any reward for doing those things.
