Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

I, too, am interested in replacing my GEO Solo with a Wattson, but I'm concerned on the transmitter's power. The GEO transmitter is in a cubby hole with the inverter and the signal won't reach my living room. The cables that need clamps on for the Wattson are on the other side of the wall (where the GEO transmitter is) in the outdoor cabinet (so a further breezeblock wall to go through).
The transmitter can be wired directly into the consumer RCD panel, so should not be a problem.;)jimmyboy420 wrote: »All my wiring including generation metere etc is in the same place, easy to get to. So fitting a wattson should be straight forward?
So, are these best with an oil filled radiator? I think I might get one before next winter - as it seems a bit pointless getting one now when my heating will be going off soon.
Think you need a Wattson and an OpiPlug. The OptiPlug will control the switching of your radiator, then in the summer you could use it for Air Con or perhaps a Fan.:j whoop whoop:j
23.2kwh for us today. Our best day so far :T
What you have achieved is an Hawaii :rotfl:
A measly 4.52 O's today....:(2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -
Finally got PVOutput fixed so that it shows the right generation £. That's good.

It still shows a different (lower) figure to SolarEdge. And my generation meter tends to show about 3% lower than the solaredge monitoring site. PVOutput actually corresponds better with my generation meter, which is interesting
Hm... so an air con or fan unit for the summer. Seems like a good idea! Maybe I'll buy that wattson and optiplug now then!3.924kWp (12X327Wp SunPower). SolarEdge SE3500 inverter.

And then you can run in and out of the house checking to see if the suns gonna come out so you can sit in front of it to cool down2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -
£11.73 today (24.2 kWh)
I could post an 'O' but as it's meaningless to compare different systems I won't
I do find it hilarious that it continues (to some) as the way to compare different systems in different parts of the Country0 -
One banana, an apple, two satsumas and some grapes for me today.0

I need to get over the fact that despite having a 4kW-sized system, I'll never attain the dizzying heights of generation as some (max I'll ever get is about 2.8 or so)
Was a good day yesterday though and was generating about 600w around 7am when I looked... and about 11.5 kWh for the whole day - though clouded over a little in the afternoon.
Terrible cloud cover today though!!4kWp system (Feb 2014) : 1.5 SW, 2.5 NE (16x Bisol BMO/250, Aurora Power-One UNO PVI-3.6 Inverter : pvoutput.org/list.jsp?id=299350 -

Today is awful. I didn't really realise how bad a terrible day can be until I checked my generation this morning (curious, seeing as it's my first very bad day, weather wise). Yesterday I was looking at about 7kWh by now. Today, I have 1.08kWh...3.924kWp (12X327Wp SunPower). SolarEdge SE3500 inverter.
