Less than one measly O for me today. For those unable to comprehend the relevance of Os, this means my system performed poorly relative to its size. :)

Another super day here, same gen as yesterday, 13kWh :)
Unfortunately, the next week's forecast is not looking so great :(
Still, considering we're already 24% above March's PVGIS Climate target () I can't complain too much :D

    Hi

Don't really know about the use of the Optiplug setup with air conditioning units. We have a portable air conditioning unit and it only powers-up in standby mode - this is the same as every other portable unit I've used .... It would be advisable to check the specs of the specific unit to be used before assuming it would work with an Optiplug.

Good point, and a wise one. The unit would have to work like an electric radiator in reverse. Switch it on and it heats/cools to the set temperature.

    Hi

There's a 5MWp array soon to be constructed on the edge of a nearby town ... I'd hazard a guess that most would prefer to compare their performance to this on a kWh/kWp basis than straight income ...

That's me.....coffee.gif As we don't know the FIT rate; what, as a matter of interest would the O's equate to on £2500 ?? smiley-laughing021.gif

    Would the 9 be O's or a meagre kWh......:rotfl:

    A massive 1.16 O's for today........coffee.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

    Hi

The remark I'd be making is simply "is that all ?" .... someone I know made well over £50 yesterday. Simply harping on about straight income without context is actually more meaningless than most other comparison methods I've seen used on these forums & elsewhere ....

I tend to agree that kWh/kWp is flawed as a comparison measure, but it's simple and at least can be used to gauge performance without reference to any other data specific to a particular site.

There's a 5MWp array soon to be constructed on the edge of a nearby town ... I'd hazard a guess that most would prefer to compare their performance to this on a kWh/kWp basis than straight income ... wouldn't the case then be "I could post a '£' but as it's meaningless to compare different systems I won't", especially considering that the income from such a system would have been ~£2500 yesterday. Posting "... £2500 today ..." would simply raise questions related to size, orientation and location, but apart from kWh/kWp the owners would likely be concerned with return on their investment, which in their case would likely be well over £6million ...

Please point out where I have ever compared my £ (or kWh) with anyone else? I post my £ (and kWh) because this is a "talking 'bout my generation" thread. It's obviously a little too complicated for you to understand that.

What a stupid thing to say, and in the same sentence!

You should give up trying to be a clever moderator.

    £8.34 (17.2 kWh) yesterday.

Already over 60 kWh over PVGIS Climate estimate for the month. :D
