Just figured out what this 'O' malarky is all about and worked out today i got 6.3'O's (23.003kwH/3.68kW) is that correct and is it decent? I'm guessing from others on here being chuffed with 4+ O's it is? Hasnt beat my highest (6.8O's on the 7th)
Installed sinced 6th Aug, I'm averaging 4.6O's a day, and have 12x E20 Sunpowers. Looks a great piece of kit0 -

Hi Estwing,
Are you sayin your system is 3.68kWp or is that the size of your inverter. 12 x E20? What size are they? Its pretty vague to say the least

Hiya T (it is I Leclerc! (or is it Eric in disguise)). My guess is that the Sunpower's are 333Wp (or possibly 327Wp). So approx 4kWp system but with a 3.68kW inverter or inverter cap.
Still some damn good generation either way. :T
I got 19.4 today, just a 'measly' 3.48 Os.
The weird thing is, August is ticking along just fine, yet I feel a little disappointed with some of the numbers. Me thinks July has spoilt things for me - now I want the moon on a stick.
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Hiya Mart
If its a 4k system then its only 5.75 O's(still good)
Mine keeps bumping along just nicely, managed another 4 O's today. I checked my readings yesterday to see what my upto now expected earnings would be and its already £400+ this 1/4(prob due to july) with another 39 days to go. If I can average 11kWh a day that should take me to £600 for this period:D
I even got excited when I read this title until I realised no-one had worked out how to harness the suns rays reflecting off the moon(not yet anyway):(

Sorry Tunnel, Martyn's right, they are the 327w panels, with a SMA SB3600TL inverter. 12 of those come to 3.92Kw system, but the installer said it'll never go beyond the inverter's capacity which is 3.68kW, so thats what ive used to calculate the O's - please correct me if ive done this wrong.0 -

Hiya Estwing, that looks like a pretty fine setup with Sunpower's and a SMA TL inverter. Nice.
K66 posts on here sometimes and has Sanyo/Panasonic hybrids so will be interesting to see if these systems (20% efficiency (ish)) do well, especially during poorer weather when they are tipped to outperform standard panels.
The reporting of gen on here is very informal, and sometimes tongue in cheek. I took the mickey out of Oscar for always posting gen after dividing by panel size (kWh/kWp) and the abbreviation of 'O' for Oscar was born.
I also compile a monthly table of generation for another site, but on there, there are a lot more systems outside of the 'standard(ish)' 2-4kWp range (including one of 49kWp) so all comparisons are based on kWh/kWp. I referred to Os once by mistake and confused everyone!
Actually, thinking about it, you see a similar thing on here with two possible extremes, myself with brute size and poor orientation, and JackieBlack with a petite system, that always catches my eye with Os that put me to shame.
Have fun.

You've done it wrong
- you use the 3.92.
Ah fair do's yesterday's downgraded to 5.9
Yes I'll be interested to see what they do over the winter months also, especially after taking the plunge and paying a little bit more than I wanted to for a 12 panel system. But I thought what the hell, I can only fit 12 on my roof so lets get the maximum out of it.
I was quite lucky with the inverter, the original one I was quoted couldn't handle the load from one string of 12, so they had to split it and upgrade to the TL and kept their word of sticking with the original quote so fair play to them. The TL has Bluetooth built in so I treated myself to the SMA sunny view display which sits nicely under my telly
I've got my PVGIS all ready to start recording the data. I'll keep you updated to see if the 20% claim is met.
Looking forward to seeing my electric bills tumble0 -

Mart.
I did however, manage to boil my 3kW kettle on Wed entirely for free (according to Wattson).....obsessed or what!

3.16 O's for yesterday...submitted my FIT account to E-On, managed £522.34p this 1/4; being £80.54p up compared to the same period last year.
