The first of my local PV installer quotes is in. The salesman suggests 16 perlight mono panels 250 kw 12 on my main roof and 4 placed on a lower roof directly beneath it(above porch/garage in a formation i was unaware of . Cost comes in @ £5999 for a 4KW system.
There is some debate as to the wisdom of trying to string the two configerations into a standard inverter by another PV company. Also the company concerned said there has been some quality issues with this chinese made type of panel.
Any info chaps?

I am worried that Tunnel is:
Living in a greenhouse?
Has sneaked off to the South of France with a long extension cord?
Has windows that have jammed shut?
Has no outside space?
Has to avoid all contact with unfiltered air?
Spends considerable time lifting weights?
Personally I have noticed no need to strip down to anything less than jeans and a T shirt.
I have not even felt the need to turn on the office fan yet.0 -
This is starting to get a little boring:
11th - 32.1kWh - 5.75 Os
12th - 30.5kWh - 5.47 Os
that now makes 8 30+'s in a row. :cool:John_Pierpoint wrote: »Personally I have noticed no need to strip down to anything less than jeans and a T shirt.

John is that your test to see if you are feeling the heat, whether or not you assault a business supporter?
When I was young I was fascinated by farm machinery, but now I'm an ex-tractor fan!

Has sneaked off to the South of France with a long extension cord? I wish:rotfl:
Has windows that have jammed shut? Wouldn't want to let the cold out now would I?
Has no outside space? Yep, garden is full of kids toys:D
Has to avoid all contact with unfiltered air? No, just hot air
Spends considerable time lifting weights? You lost me with this one:doh:
Personally I have noticed no need to strip down to anything less than jeans and a T shirt. And finally, I work in my own factory where's its averaged 30c+ everyday last week(even the cloudy day), if I could strip to my underpants when I get home I would, just not sure what the neighbours would think.:rotfl:
I have not even felt the need to turn on the office fan yet.
Another 20+ day with lots used for the aircon:cool:

Well..yesterday, the low cloud which was forecast til lunch cleared around 10.00am and gave way to give blue skies and lots of lovely sun. Just before the clouds arrived around 12:00 the air temperature was 26C and the solar panel surface was 57C.
The output from System 2 was then 2.4kW. Now there is some cloud. System 1 is not yet at maximum power (should be at 14:00). The output is now just above 2kW and system 2 is 2.15kW.

Mostly sunny yesterday but several cloudy intervals yielded 21.9kWh (E= almost 12 so not too disappointed)
July to date has generated 264kWh - over 60% of full month's pvgis forecast.
Cloudy start today but forecasters assuring us we'll see sun later. Let's hope they're right (but not banking on the getting two days right in same week). Certainly a glimmer of sunshine starting to happen.
