Just a general question if i may. Do the grid/energy company take all of the energy that you are unable to use yourself?
Thanks

Price of install is the main factor before any comparison can be made.:)
2.84 O's today, what a let down......:( Not saying a word Eric....:rotfl:
Just checked the accuracy of my Wattson on generation logging: 98.87%; very happy with that over 37 days...:D2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax:
Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -

Last 3 days got:
8th - 31.4kWh - 5.63 Os
9th - 31.9kWh - 5.72 Os
10th - 30.4kWh - 5.45 Os
That makes 6 30+'s in a row. Long term forecast (been correct lately) forecasting another 8 days of fine, fine weather. Still hot, still flushed!
@Oscar, Sirlaughalot posted this yesterday on the solar panel guide thread:Sirlaughalot wrote: »Are there any smart devices like immersun that can divert solar energy produced to specific devices?
Thanks in advance
I thought of you (and K66 and Eric(?)) with devices like the opti-plugs. I know they are not proportional devices like the Immersun/Solarimmersion, but thought this question was up your street, or down your bin!

Does not sound very Japanese:
Phono Solar Technology Co., Ltd., was founded by SUMEC Group Corporation, a member of the China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH). Phono Solar is a leading brand in the renewable energy industry, producing high quality solar products since 2004. The Phono Solar brand has become synonymous with high performing, top quality photovoltaic panels and specializes in PV technology innovation, application and system development. Phono Solar panels have been installed in countries all over the world, including the USA, Germany, UK, Switzerland, South Korea, Israel, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, etc.,
Mind you the days when the Chinese produced plastic flowers and bicycles are long gone.
With their massive stockpile of dollars they are well on their way to imposing 24/7/365 neocolonialism on the "developing" world.
That used to be Uncle Sam's role in the 1950's but the US is getting rattled:
As a result of the regulatory review, the Company, Sinomach, PM&T and its affiliate Procon Resources Inc. ("PRI", and collectively with Sinomach and PM&T, "Procon") are withdrawing a Joint Voluntary Notice filed on April 1, 2013 with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States ("CFIUS"), and have transmitted a letter of commitment (the "Letter") to CFIUS.
Pursuant to the Letter, Lincoln and Procon have committed to CFIUS that Procon will, within 120 days after the date of the Order, divest its entire investment in Lincoln to a third party investor that is acceptable to CFIUS. If Procon, after making best efforts to divest its interest in Lincoln, is unable to divest all of its interest within 120 days, Lincoln and Procon can apply for an extension of up to 60 additional days, subject to approval by CFIUS. The Company understands that the terms of the Letter will form the basis of an order to be issued by CFIUS (the "Order").

China is an amazing place, in some ways it reminds me of Japan in the early 1970's, the difference being that the USA political economists had a chance to impose on Japan ideas that could not be achieved in the checks and balances of the USA democracy.
China is loosely split into two nations, those who subsist in the country, who they call "farmers" and those who are part of the 21st century living in towns. There is an internal border between the two Chinas.
There were some years at the turn of the 21st century when more people migrated into the mega cities in a year than migrated into USA in the whole of the 19th century.
I get the impression that the Chinese are far from the Japanese in terms of social cohesion but they do have an amazing propensity to save - so the economy could implode and I would not like to be the doorman of there is a bank run; but for the moment their debt pyramid seems fairly stable.0
