Wish these weather forecasters would stop telling us the long warm spell will continue...tempting fate I reckon

When you're in the middle of a high pressure system giving sunny spells there are really only three things that can happen :-

    1. It continues
    2. We get a few thunderstorms
    3. Pressure drops and it gets cloudier.

It's always easiest to say "tomorrow will be a bit like today" and that's usually a better guess than suggesting something wildly different.

The sunny spell will stop eventually and it's an odds on bet that it will either stop a day or two before the forecasters expect it to or carry on a bit longer than they expected :D

Hiya SL. I'm starting to feel like I'm stalking you! I think you are just doing what I did 2 years ago, and having a really good nose around, hence we keep crossing.

    Anyways, every few days I just slap 'PV news' into google, create 3 duplicates, then select;

    PV-Tech
    Solarpowerportal
    pv-magazine and
    solardaily

    and have a good read.

    Here's pv-magazine

    http://www.pv-magazine.com/#axzz2ZCQfOdeL

I just read them for free on-line.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

Just had a visit from our FiT supplier to take an 'annual reading' of our FiT meter. Not that we'd ever had one before in 21 months.

Was good timing as we just passed 6MWh today. He said everyone is reporting better performance this year than last, but made no comment as to whether ours was 'unexpectedly' good.

EDF. Pretty sure the FiT contract stated they would inspect the meters and the application form must have stated where the meter was located as he knew it was in my study.

Hope no one has been telling porkies on their Q2 readings!

We had a guy from E-On turn up about a year ago to 'take a note of the serial number on the meter'....... I wonder if that was a pretext to check the reading?

My readings are always accurate when submitted, so I don't mind if they come to read it, but the man who comes to read the import meter seems to manage to avoid anytime I'm home with amazing efficiency......

    Hi Jackie

We had a meter reader around about a fortnight ago to read the TGM for Scottish Power, they came around once before ... probably last year, I can't remember exactly when but it was also not long after submitting a decent meter reading .... I suppose it's likely that they simply audit a random sample in each area, that's what I'd do ....
