Another nice day, with 32kWh's or 5.73 O's.

Wifey off playing with Whizz-Kidz, and left me with nothing particularly needing leccy, mostly just baseload, so being the kind sort of person I am, I exported most of it, so that the PV'less neighbours could run their tumblies on green leccy.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

Sooner you than me at this time of year !

I used to live in Aden and revisited a few years ago (in Feb : but even that was hotter than Barcelona in August !).

But generation in that part of world won't be that good unless you can arrange some cooling for your SPs.

Above is a screen shot for the last day in May; when first looked, could not see why usage shot up to over 700W just after 10:00, then realised it must have been the Optiplug switching on the small heater...but generation is ahead of the game........................................smiley-laughing021.gifsmiley-laughing025.gif

Below is the result of Lecci saving for May around 182 Kw = £20.00. smiley-laughing001.gifsmiley-laughing025.gif

If you are referring to Tunnels' post, he did not say he used a tumble dryer today; merely that he uses one; keep up !:)

    From tunnel's post
"today we've done 5 loads of washing, 2 lots of drying"

Does it go to waste if you don't use it up that day?

Assuming "it" means that day's generation then if you don't use it, it will trickle into the national grid.

You are of course paid a fixed rate for generation and paid extra for export but until electricity companies start measuring export they'll rely upon their 'guess' that you export 50% of generation. In fact, the average SP owner exports more like 75% of generation so you can't blame us for trying to achieve a fairer result.
