    Sshhh, you'll have Mart pondering....do I...don't I?

You all know me too well! Been pondering since last chat. Started to notice that I'm using the kettle more than I thought. The very next day a friend called midday and between us we had 4 mugs of coffee, and I kept chuckling about how I was generating 1,200W and should have got a travel kettle!

Wifey also pointed out that a low power kettle would be useful for the washing up - the stuff that doesn't go in the dishwasher, or blocks up half of it.

Our combi run goes three times round the house before it gets to the kitchen sink (or so it seems). So some kettle water for small washes would be very useful.

Okay Winky I'm convinced, best admit I'm wrong before you set your attack ducks on me!

Nice gen day yesterday, slow start, but 3 Os by the end.

    Marty the kettle.

    Hi

Electricity imported here for 12 months to end March'16 was 1049kWh, so ~2.9kWh/day ... March'16 itself was 88.5kWh, so also ~2.9kWh/day ... Lowest month in series was June (~1.8kWh/day). highest December (~4.4kWh/day)

Main import usage is kitchen/food related which accounts for ~60% of total annual electricity imports ... hob & ovens are electric (~25%), also large (~2m high) matched pair fridge&freezer (~15%) with the remainder being shared between the kettle and other small appliances ....

My background leccy consumption is around 350 - 390W but goes to 600 W during day time
NAS, Server, IP cam, BT Hub, Gigabit switch, DECT phones, Nuair Drimaster
100 Gallon aquarium - FX5 pump eating 55W, and auxillary pump eating 15W, Another 250W when 4x T5 High Output fluorescent comes on  and on cold days 2x 300W heaters for the aquarium  only for a few hrs
Rest of standby equipments - FridgeFreezer, Chest freezer, dehumidifier,

Even on a dull to moderate day - when panels are producing leccy - it never gets exported :T

I think Aldi are having a change, not always the best prices (time are a changing)..smiley-confused013.gif

Not a great day today..3.56 O's; on the positive side, already 14.62% of March generation in 3 days....:D....coffee.gif

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).
