Think you may have misread the point of question Eric..What He/She needs is easy access....
Is English not your first language ?

The OP clearly says "my question is...." and that is the question I answered.

Some of us may feel that the attic is not the best place for the inverter but that was not part of the 'question'.

I am getting a 4kw install next month.
The installer wants to put the inverter in the loft.
My fuse box is in the garage.
My question is what is the point of a digital display on the inverter when it is somewhere you can not see it?.

My installers were going to put it in the loft but were quite happy to put it in the garage instead (both are easy to access). I did ask if having a longer wire from the panels to the inverter meant more losses but they said no (don't know if that is true).
    I think....

Longer wires between panels and TGM will always mean more losses - but if the cables are adequately sized then the losses are almost negligible. You might even find that having the inverter in a colder environment could mean that its increased efficiency gives more gain than the extra cables would lose.

Need 1.7 Os tomorrow so not impossible given the forecast. It has been a month of 3 halfs - was at 65% of the month after 2 weeks, a week ago pvgis looked impossible but the last week may just turn it round....
    I think....

i am having my 4kw system installed in 2 weeks.
I have a 35 degree roof, exactly south facing with no shade.
What can i realisticly expect to generate per day?.
I am reading some dissapointing figures on here.

Does anyone have a daily list of figures over a year?.
