If I was to invest in another system and place in on the garage roof 2 kW system. Would I get paid a feed in tarrif and if so what would be the rate?
Assuming you get DNO approval, you can install a second system and would get FIT payments at whatever rate is current when your application is approved.

For anybody already close to the 4kWp threshold, new contract would be at the 4 to 10kWp rate (existing payments remain on the 0 - 4 rate)

Thank you for that. Have fired off a E-mail to my DNO. (Northern Powergrid) Looking at the FAQ's you only need to change to 3 phase above 20 kW

Checked rates and this comes in at 11.30p until 31 Dec.

My reason for asking was that I was told by Solar Tech North East that I would get no FIT for anything above 4kW

They may have checked with your DNO and been told that you wouldn't get permission for additional panels. But obviously that's not the same as saying you can fit them but will get no FIT payments.

Also possible that STNE don't want the job so are trying to put you off ? Perhaps get someone else along to quote.

Well I have two systems and I get FITs for the second at its own rate, which takes me to 5.25kWp total - or maybe I'm just dreaming and my installer told me porkies

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

I think we generated about 0.5kWh yesterday, but as the ESE TGM has no decimals, my 'official' score is 0.1kWh = 0.02 O's, and even that is rounded up!

Merlin, check out section 10 of the FAQs.

    Wiltshire - 5.25kWp
    3.5kWp: 14 x Phono Solar 250 Onyx, Sunny Boy 4000TL, WSW 40 degrees, June 2013
    1.75kWp: 7 x Phono Solar 250 Onyx, Sunny Boy 1600TL, SSE 45 degrees, March 2014
Regardless of what the installer said, your second system is now 18 months old so you'll have had at least 5 FIT payments for it. Surely your last payment advice note (or maybe there are two separate documents each quarter ?) will show the two individual calculations.
