    2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
    Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

    Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

    A Hawaii + .79 for us today!!

    We had our Smart Meter installed in March this year. We have been paid a FIT payment since. We have not been asked to send in any readings for our export!!!!!!! We do export over 50% mostly because we are such low users!!!

    Think you will find that you only get paid now for your actual export, in your case, export ain't much.... @ 3p per kWh

    Thank you, Oscar. I think that the export payment is 4.85 pence.

    The price of gas here is 3.034 p per kWh. If efficiency of heating water is less than 63% (3.034/4.850) then I should switch off the iboost and be paid for my export instead.

    Wattson thinks that since mid-March I retained 73% of generation, but that includes diversion to the immersion. I will do some sums but at £82 payment per year based on PVGIS there isn't a lot of money in it either way.

    Ovo has confirmed (a little to my surprise) that from now on I will be metered for export. That is, in my case, a disadvantage.

    So I may move from a payment of 3380 PVGIS x 0.0458/2 = £77;

    down to 3380 PVGIS x .27 * .0458 = £42;

    only a £35 annual loss;

    but then there is the possibility of switching off the iBoost if it doesn't cost in, i.e. if the export payment exceed the cost of gas saved.
