Well its highly likely you have shot yourself in the foot there as you've annoyed one of the few people who really knows their stuff about this!0 -
Having now read some of his posts on other threads, I have to agree with youWell its highly likely you have shot yourself in the foot there as you've annoyed one of the few people who really knows their stuff about this!
I don't think I've actually been rude to him though, it's just that I haven't offered as much specific info as he asked for.0 -
I once had BMI change my flight to an inconvenient time and I just phoned them and asked to be put on a different flight. If you ask nicely they might be willing to help you in some way.0

We have had the same thing...both times we called (after researching what our options might be so we had an idea what we would be happier with) and were moved to something that suited us better (and in one case, we were moved to the flights we actually would have booked originally but the times were much more expensive so we went for the less-appealing but cheaper option)...though in our cases the airlines had multiple options that would work...not just one or two flights a day.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I can see why the OP might be a bit annoyed about his flight being changed to an earlier one. I have booked a flight in July and specifically chosen a time that allows me to do a morning's work before setting off for the airport.
If I had a 'proper' job, an earlier flight could have cost me a morning's wages so I can see why someone might expect some kind of compensation.0 -

And look on the bright side - the airline is getting you to your holiday destination sooner than promised. More time in the sun!0 -
Look OP, why don't you just call the airline ? You thinking the airline will identify you is ridiculous ! They have lots of other passengers too you know.0

I quite agree! Plus there's no way they will recognise him now he has changed his name from tobiascurious to londonsteve

For most companies especially Ryanair, this is not something they will feel guilty about and for them it's about profit than pleasing the customer.
The rub here is that they won't wait for you if the flight has been made earlier and you don't turn up on time and for me and many others, the flight being put forward means you loose not only your plans before the flight but possibly the extra time you need to allow for security and possible travel delays (by public transport or roads).
I booked a Saturday flight because it left after 12 and gave me enough time to comfortably get there as most of the flights I take are at 2 or 3pm and I have ample time, but the flight being pushed before 12 makes it too tight to get there ontime (I need two trains plus a bus to get to the airport and the busses are every 30 mins and take 30 mins so I ideally need over 1h for that bit of the journey alone) and leaving earlier means leaving at 5am and waking up the rest of the family to get me to the station.0 -
Hmm Don't not help the other guy out just because of what I did or didn't say. I'm not londonsteve by the way. His flight moved from evening to afternoon.:oI quite agree! Plus there's no way they will recognise him now he has changed his name from tobiascurious to londonsteve
