I know it sounds hard, but you don't qualify.
You don't qualify through British Gas because you left them before they made the payment. They make it very clear that if you leave before payment is made, then you won't get it.
You have also been refused WHD by your present supplier, but don't say why. Are you too late to apply? Or don't they give WHD? Either way, you don't qualify. If you did with either supplier, you would get the Discount."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
Anyone had there payment from BG on pay as you go yet?

Sadly this is how the scheme works.. the new supplier wasn't providing your energy over the winter/when you applied so wont pay and BG get out of it.
I have had numerous online chats with EDF to find out if i could swap before the payment goes in and still get it.. the advisers gave me different info but i found a letter from the scheme that stated if I swapped I would not be eligible.
Another supplier had a better tariff and my edf tariff had ended so I just had to wait and check back weekly to see if we'd been paid.
I am sorry you have missed out.0 -

She has received the warm home discount without having applied and probably not even being eligible. I say probably because despite her husband being on some sort of income support, she earns a relatively good salary and we have both checked the broader category and we both believe this to be an error by the energy company who shall remain nameless. They have no children, rent a house with prepaid meters and the money just appeared on the electric meter this morning! Obviously the right thing to do would be to own up but they are not rich by any means and this extra electric will really help them out! Should they say something? If the energy company realises their mistake and rectifies it they will only have to pay it back later anyway but could they get in trouble for not saying anything when it's not their fault? And please don't preach good morals! I'm sure not everyone who receives this is completely desperate for it and be honest, what would you do if you received this and were struggling with your bills..
Of course they should say something. Failure to do so - knowingly taking advantage of an error - would be fraud.
What kind of income support is your husband on? You are aware that any means tested benefit must be based on the household income?0 -

If she earns a good salary then he must be claiming a Contribution based benefit because he would be enititled to an Income related one, with her salary. He could also be claiming a disability benefit like DLA/PIP which isn't means tested.0 -

I applied online and assume it is going through. My son has PIP and we got it last year. I wonder how long it takes. I need it as the weather gets colder not next March. Is it worth ringing up to ask how long before I know? ThanksRemember when you judge someone, it does not define them ... You define yourself :j0
