I will barely miss the 'Simpsons Channel' at all with my only gripe being that CH4 should have let boring Desperate Housewives go to them instead of Lost.0

not strictly ethical but you can find all these programs on here to download and watch at your leisure on your pc. all you need is a program like bit lord to download them.
i am with ntl/virgin and am not going to switch. if sky 1 goes i will watch them on my pc.
I clicked on this site and it confused me completely, I got asked to sign up from another site for a one off payment to download anything. I can't seem to get to a bit which the OP talked about where I would be able to get the LOST episodes I would miss if they go offline:eek:0 -
Not Sure about what will happen but looks like that both parties will back off few steps and virginmedia customer will get sky one.
Why? Sky will otherwise loose a lot from advert and Virgin will loose customers many of them wont join sky but will go to freeview
Anyway as a money saving(yet to become an) expert.
I called up and chatted with virginmedia retention person and shown that i am worried(cant threat them that I will leave them can I as I already have 7 months left in my contract)
Then ask him to some compensation.
He gave me BB M (2 mb)
TV Large(for 6 mnths)
all for 9.99.
Hello I can't call this as money saving can I?
I was already on bb-2 mb and TV M (or free) for 9.99 But I managed to get more out of my money
Happy moneysaving

Sky Channels on NTL/Virgin
We just wanted to keep you updated, given what NTL/Virgin have been saying today. First things first, as far as we're concerned, negotiations are continuing, and we hope these will be completed successfully without anyone missing out on their favourite shows.
We want Sky One, Sky Two, Sky Sports News and the award-winning Sky News to remain available to NTL/Virgin customers. We know that they are missing out on other Sky channels like Sky Three and Sky Arts, so we've been talking to NTL/Virgin about these as well.
At Sky, we love great TV. We've increased the amount we spend on our channels by more than two thirds over the past few years. That's why we can bring you great shows like the newest episodes of Lost, 24 and The Simpsons, as well as acclaimed original productions like Terry Pratchett's Hogfather.
So we hope people will see through angry statements from NTL/Virgin and encourage them to come back and agree a fair price for some of the finest shows on TV.
We believe in giving our customers more for less. When we launched our new broadband service last year, we discovered just how much people were being charged by cable and BT. So we offered Sky TV customers Sky Broadband with up to 16Mb download speeds and a wireless router for just £10 a month, vs £35 a month for an up to 10Mb service with NTL/Virgin. Great television and big savings are why more than 8 million families are choosing to be with Sky. To find out more about how much you could save go to https://www.sky.com/save.

I'm willing to hold out and see what happens, but telewest/virgin, whoever they are these days! :rotfl: Need to reduce my package in the meantime!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
Sky sucks big time.
I saw an ad yesterday, by Sky, that was targeted at Virgin Media customers, asking them to switch.
Sky want to squeeze out all competion. The last thing we need is a monopoly supplier.0 -
Yep I just saw the same advert looks like a loss for the cable co.Aint got a signature - as I cant think of anything world wisely to say.0
