I'm living in a rented flat at the moment, and I've been finding woodlice inside. I have also been able to hear them (I think - it's a weird cricket-like noise), and I'm just worried that I might end up with an infestation. I know that underneath the carpet there are solid wood floorboards, and the flat is in an old tenement building.
Now, woodlice tend to thrive in damp wooden areas, and I have the feeling that they are probably happily reproducing underneath the carpet. Is there anything I can do, short of calling my landlord, to get rid of them? I'm terrified of bugs, and I really don't want to have to live with these, no matter how harmless.
Thanks :embarasseI :heartpuls Procrastination.0 -
Hi asking for my Mam she phoned me the other day and asked me for advice she said she had lots of 'Old Men' hanging around in her porch and wanted to know the quickest and best way of getting rid of them - preferably without using powder as this leaves residue ? !
Bless her after I calmed down she explained she was refering to the common Woodlouse! She doesnt want to use insect powder as she doesnt want any potential buyer looking round with an estate agent to see it and she isnt always there to sweep it up first before they arrive.:rotfl:
Can anyone help please ?!
Thanks in advance.Failure is only someone elses judgement.

Wilkinson sell a liquid ant killer that is invisible when applied and kills other crawling insects too. (Blue text is a link)
I was going to suggest stick a red light on then they'll stay away as they'll look like they're queueing at a house of ill-repute:rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
