accompanied shop sainsbury after complaint

I'm after people's opinion please.
I e mailed sainsbury with a number of valid complaints - after a final frustrating visit pushed me to the edge!!
I just had a phone call from a manager asking if I would come into the store for a coffee with her to discuss these and then do an accompanied shop around the store with some discount at the end.
She did sound lovely and said she'd rather offer this than just send some vouchers in the post.
Thing is I wasn't expecting this and I think I'd be embarrassed to do an accompanied shop - don't mind the sitting down to discuss the issues I raised.
What would you do? Any one had this experience? Naturally if it was going to be a massive discount on a weeks shopping I am reluctant of to take the offer - but do you think it would be?
I said I'd phone her back to let her know what I want to do- the apology/explanation over the phone was really enough - and some vouchers in the post would be welcome but I don't know how to say this to her and really I do t want to miss out on getting some discount but an accompanied shop sounds really intense!
What would you do, any experience of this type of situation

What a great idea from the manager. You will be able to point out where your concerns are, show her things that are wrong with her store. Much more personal than just sending you vouchers in the post.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

What a great offer. What was the nature of your complaints?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

It certain gives the impression that the store is taking your complaint seriously and quite possible hoping to rectify any problems should they exist0

i think if you didnt go it gives the impression you were willing to complain behind a screen or on paper in the hope of getting vouchers
going and taking part in this will actually improve customer experience and hopefully improve service, AND you get a discount
isnt all of that what you hoped to achieve?0 -
I'd definitely go, she should be the one who's embarrased, not you. Plus you'll get some discounts and she'll hopefully act on your complaints! Let us know what its like!'' Ok Marge, if anyone asks, you require 24-hour nursing care; Lisa's a clergyman; Maggie is seven people and Bart was wounded in Vietnam ''0

In this day and age when the big stores have a reputation as seeing you as a number and don't care about their customers as individuals, that's a nice thing for the manager to do.
She'll go far.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Before I worked for Sainsburys, my mum was buying a few items in the store I currently work at. She was asked to go to a shoppers review panel with about 7-8 others about 6-9 months after the refit. It was an informal talk with the store manager at the time, a dept manager, someone from head office and the regional manager of what the customers thought of the refit etc.
It lasted an hour. She received £25 of gift vouchers.0 -

sorry if I am missing something obvious , but I dont understand this bit of your post.
If it was a large discount , why would you be reluctant to accept it ?0 -
Suggest they say "Staff announcement" over their PA system rather than "Colleague announcement" ; ).....0
