my office job was data entry and I got it without a degree but the person who took over needed a degree as did the person who came in after me was a slightly higher position, any degree would do.0

I am not surprised that someone with more experience got it thats what they tend to go for. Having said that it dosent mean they are the right person for the job.
Not always the case as in my experience of interviews and jobs the company normally want the cheaper option, my OH has years of experience in shop/retail work and she has been beaten on the cheaper younger option many times.0 -
