I don't have a degree but have done stock takes on a manual self written system. No degree needed there.

Unless the last guy had 1, or perhaps that's the standard of everyone else who had CV's handed in there, he had quite a few sitting, but its usually the opposite response these guys give those with degrees "Your over qualified" then you have this guy looking a degree.

None of the roles in a goods in department need a degree. You have experience worth more than a degree any day.

You have to wonder why the previous guy quit in the first place but nevermind that, all the best for the job.

    It had crossed my mind.
  • Illness? Ill partner? Ill parents? Lottery win?

Could quite seriously be anything. Best of luck, hope you get it :)

Everyone asks why the last person left and how long they had been there. I do. Wouldn't you think it odd if they had only been there 3 weeks and walked out? Not that they would probably tell you they had walked out but they have to be honest and say they had only been there a short time and maybe got another job or something else.

I suppose he was not willing to commit to a Personal Development Plan and get a PhD.

Good luck - but i agree, a degree for a dispatch clerk or taking in deliveries shouldn't really be an issue, lord alone knows i managed to do it fine without one! (deliveries that is)
Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.
