  • Thanks to everyone who posted on here. I have been looking for help after receiving a letter from parking eye advising me that I had exceeded the 3hr limit on the retail park at ings way in wakefield. I wasnt aware of the limit, although there are notices up, I admit to not seeing them as we shop there all the time & understand it is free parking for the duration of your visit. I met with a friend who came on the train from rotherham & we spent almost 5 hrs on the retail park having coffee, shopping, then lunch. I appealed but as we paid cash for our refreshment stops, & a couple of small purchases, I could only provide a card receipt for 1 store. I received a letter advising my appeal was rejected as "it didnot meet the criteria specified by the landlord". I sent another email stating that if a receipt was not acceptable, why ask for it & could I be advised of what the criteria was. I received a repeat of the first letter with no attempt to respond to my request. This letter also advised that they would not enter into further correspondence. I feel bullied & intimidated as they seem to be offering the appeal process to make them seem sympathetic, but have no intention of ever considering them. Short of asking the shops for CCTV of us walking around, what other evidence can I provide! As many people have written, I have never done wrong & are worried this will go against me. I am frightened into just paying to get rid of the worry. I am going to try & stay strong though!

You don't have to provide evidence. To put it simply, you don't have to do a thing except ignore them from here on. Parking Eye will do NOTHING other than write a few letters after which they will go away.

Read the other threads on here and you will see that the advice is just IGNORE them. Keep in touch if you need any reassurance, but bear in mind that they NEVER allow ANY appeals, so don't waste any more time and trouble trying.

You don't have to provide evidence of innocence they must provide proof of being guilty, but then in reality as this is just a lousy dirty scam, fully endorsed by the retailers or landowner there is no need to worry about this. As you discovered there is no appeals, they only have a sham one so they can save £2.50 on getting the registered keeper details from the DVLA, they pretend to consider it then refuse it all, I am surprised they didn't ask you to send an SAE to get a reply, or £10 to get the images of this.

The next step for you is to ignore the scammers, they will not take you to court, they will not effect your credit rating, you will not get a CCJ, there will not be an attachment of earnings order, there will be no boys turning up at your door! Basically all you will get is a series of junk mail requesting you pay, they will use outlandish threats that have no legal weight at all, then after you ignore it all they will crawl back under their rocks and look for easier targets to victimise and bully.

Don't fall into their trap, read the sticky threads in this section, and watch all of the watchdog videos, educate yourself into this scam, it will save you a tidy sum of money. We don't charge for this advice, but we do require that you tell at least 10 people about this scam and point them here if needed, please feel free to tell hundreds if you wish ;)

    Enjoy your money!
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

    kfblabla,

Do what give them FA and Taffy056 say. Mrs theHibby is currently ignoring these scammers for a second time.

All they want is your money and they couldn't care less about fairness.
