Had a reply today from both Farm Foods and Parking EYE.

KindRegards
Parking EyeTeam
It is clear that if you are concerned about this firm’s tactics contact the company that they claim to represent directly this is what I wrote and 24 hrs later it has all gone away.
To whom it may concern. I have received three threatening letters from a company called Parking Eye who seem to be linked to Farm foods in connection with car parking fine enforcement.
On 23rdFeb 2012 my wife visited a restaurant in XXXXXXX, this premises inform me thatt hey share a car park with your Farm Foods store.
The management of the restaurant have informed me that they have a number of allocated spaces in this car park which they control.
Upon receipt of the first letter I contacted the restaurant and informed them about it they advised me to bring the letter into them and they would contact PARKINGEYE and get the matter resolved.
This I did and assumed that it was dealt with. However I then received a second demand for payment from PARKING EYE.
This time I contacted them myself by e-mail and reiterated the circumstances of the car being in the car park, I also once again called the restaurant who told me to simply ignore the demand.
I have now had a third letter demanding payment. It seems that PARKING EYE will not accept either mine or the restaurants explanation.
Thetactics being used by this company are nothing short of demanding money with menaces by constantly threatening legal action and increases in the sums owed.
I am aware that PARKING EYE has been the subject of several reports on the BBC watchdog programme.
The behaviour of this so called company is nothing short of intimidation and not only reflects themselves in a poor light but also by association Farm Foods.
I askt hat you look into this matter, as my next action will be to contact my local press and the BBC to publicise what this company are doing and the tactics they are using.
I have no doubt that many vulnerable or elderly people upon receiving these letters from this company would simply pay the fine without question and yet I am sure on many occasions these notices have been issued incorrectly.
Finally to anyone who gets a notice from these people
DO NOT PAY THIS FIRM A PENNY0 -
Aka "oh !!!!!!, we better let this one off the hook, it seems we made a mistake and could risk losing the contract".
I'm suprised you didn't get the email worded like, "we have reviewed the case and have decided that the parking charge notice was issued correctly... but as a gesture of goodwill we will cancel the ticket this time"0 -
Well done, it was the complaint to Farm Foods that did it. Always complain but never contact the scammers.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

How many customers do these utterly unnecessary cowboys lose for the firms foolish enough to use them? That anyone would want to employ these crooks beggars belief.
Well done for persisting, Millo, though us cynics would say you could have achieved the same result by doing nothing at all.....0 -
My daughter passed her test on the 8th March 2012 and got a ticket from Parking Eye on 09.03.12, which of course has come addressed to her dad who is the registered keeper. One photo is in day light, the other one is completely in the dark with no image of the driver.
I have just bawled my daughter out for being so stupid in getting a ticket.
She bawled me out and said don't pay it as it is a scam!
The car park belongs to Aldi - how can they allow these cowboys to install their cameras there and effectively con people out of their money???0 -

Putting it frankly ? Because people like you fall for it !!!! Thank goodness your daughter knew about the scam. All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
I'd be proud of that daughter. Only had her licence one day and she knows a scam when she sees it! Taught Dad a thing or two then!!
Now write to the crooks, tell them you weren't driving, aren't going to tell them who was, and will regard any demands for money as being unlawful harassment.
Either they will crawl back into their hole, or you can save the garbage they send you and sue them (and Aldi!) under the Harassment Act.0 -

Did she park in Aldi for a long period or did she do the most 'criminal' thing and return to the store twice in one day?0 -
Even my dad knows to ignore these, as does half my village thanks to my campaigning.Never Knowingly Understood.

Aren't you speaking to the other half of the village then? Or do you mean the non-drivers?0
