Only the police and local authorities can legally issue parking fines and Parking Lie are neither of these. You can safely ignore their begging letter as they aren't going to spend any money on court action because they know their letter has no legal standing.

Don't contact them as you have no chance of winning an 'appeal', all they are interested in is getting their filthy hands on your cash. You can't appeal to their better side because they don't have one. All that will happen if you contact them is that your name will be transferred to the 'potential mug' file and you'll get even more begging letters off them. If you ignore them they'll give up much sooner.

Please don't stress about this, it's a speculative invoice that you don't have to pay at all, they will write to you 5-6 times promising holy damnation, and a couple them will be a debt collector with no powers at all, and maybe an ineffective solicitors who are in fact probably the debt collectors pretending to be one.

This is just a scam and should be ignored utterly , the only time it should not be ignored is if signed and stamped court papers arrive from Northampton mcol . You have more chance of a lotto jackpot win than that happening. Come back if you need moral support and please read the sticky threads in this section and view all the watchdog videos to educate yourself on this scam.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
  • im just worried about it as im already in financial difficulty, and im leaving my job as im no longer able to work due to illness. the ticket was given to two of my collegues too at the same time. we all made the same mistake...... worked out to be a expensive leaving meal.....i agree a mistake made but why £80 should just charge for full day £8.60 would be much fairer..
if it goes to court ive got no money anyway, already got creditiors in payment scheme.....ill have to add parking eye to list of creditors i guess

No it will not go to court, just ignore them and don't pay them any heed! They will not effect your credit file though in a dmp that won't matter, they won't give you a ccj and they won't send the boys around as they cannot legally issue a penalty, please tell your friends that also!

You are giving them to much credit, they can't be a creditor to you as there is no credit agreement signed for this, they are just an useless scummy parking scam company, their invoice has no merit in law and is not enforceable. Please watch the watchdog videos in the sticky threads where a legal expert tells Ann Robinson that he likes making paper aeroplanes out of the scam invoice threat letters.

Gets you kind of worried and gutted when you get one of these letters, I got my first this week from the same place. I spent some time here and was quickly reassured. I have no intention what so ever of replying or paying anything I receive from these scaremongers indeed I have made it my mission to spread the word to all and sundry.
You might think your case is different and that you may be the one that will end up in court then in the poor house, it wont happen.
SIt back and feel smug that you have been enlightened by coming here and don't forget to tell your friends too....
A PPC is not just for Christmas...with a few CCJ threats you should have enough toilet paper to last well into the new year.....

If it was a pay & display car-park it can be argued that you owe the landowner whatever the tariff board says for up-to an hour (unless it breaks it down into 20 minutes slots).

So if you had to pay a pound for parking for an hour, you would owe the land-owner a pound.

It would also be more legal. Private companies can only legally try to recover a "reasonable pre-estimate of losses suffered" so at best they should be looking to recover an hours worth of charge. Anything over that is a "disproportionate sanction" which is outlawed by the Unfair Contract Terms Act. In an ideal world you should just be able to send a cheque for what you actually owe but Parking Lie aren't interested in fairness or abiding with the law, they're only interested in scamming as much cash off you as they can.

Pleeeeeease tell your colleagues that they have not been fined and must NOT pay nor appeal.

Tell them to come here and look at this thread and at the top sticky info thread 'PPC letters & threats'. To find that thread see my signature as it is only one click back from here to find yourself back on the forum index, sticky threads at the top.

Tell them they MUST read that info about the letters, it is ONLY HOT AIR and it is a SCAM. All you all need to do is play 'PPC snap' with the threatograms that are sent to the registered keeper. Pics of of al the letters are in that top thread. It's easy to ignore the letetrs when you know what comes next and that it is all a con.

Tell them also to watch the Watchdog clip in that top thread. And to read some other threads if they like as well - they will soon see a pattern!

    Job done.

Stop worrying, it's only letters, like phishing emails. No fine, no debt, no CCJ, no Court, no bailiff, no effect on credit rating. NOTHING.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, buddy, just ignore everything you will get from them. For a kick-off, if you never reply, they will have no evidence as to who was driving and it would only be the driver who could be pursued. Not that they would in any case as their claim would have no foundation in law. They caught a massive cold last time they tried taking anyone to court and won't be coming back for seconds!

Just ignore, I have for a large number of these meaningless fake tickets and have never paid a single penny. Come back at any time if you need reassurance.
